'14 AL DE Cory Thomas (Now the enemy)

I think this one goes right down to the wire with Thomas. In talking to a few people last night Clemson felt like they had some good momentum but this morning Tennessee feels that way too.

They kid called Clemson his leader about 20 hours ago and that's the last word from him. Tennessee is battling to hang on, though and not giving up. We will see.

Not over yet, boys and girls.

Scholly's are year to year... You can bet we'll shed some of these non producers currently on scholly like Darr, Pair, Clark, Carson... Look at our current roster and any upper classman you never heard of, or heard of but never play...should be given a respectful boot.

I don't disagree with you on this, but it won't help us with this year's numbers. Next year's, maybe.

You and laggervol have a ton of policing up to do....regrading the term listed.....

you do realize you are giving this term more attention by posting about it and making meaning less motions to suppress it.

Sometimes it maybe better to ignore it, make one statement about it and pray no one comments further about it..

There are posters on this board that will read it and will go out of their way to use it in a post just because they can......

IOW let it go......

Ironic post is ironic.

I too hope he is worth all of this fuss everyone is making over him. At the very least he committed just to make sure he had a spot somewhere. Perhaps he is genuinely interested in the Vols and the Tiger$ now. He appears on tape to be very talented but he has also come across with some attributes that better fit the prima donna 5 * type player who is either going to ball out or be a cancer to the team. Whoever he chooses , wish him well, hope his personality and maturity is better than what it appears to be, and trust our staff 100% to fill his spot appropriately if Cory chooses the Tiger$. Who knows he may help the Vols at Clem$on as much as here down the road a la a certain Webb qb from Marshall.

Good. I hope he's an angry, certifiably "aint right in the head" type of defensive lineman.

I may be in the minority on this, but I would like him to stay lean and kept at SDE. He is athletic enough to maintain the edge and be a dominant pass rusher.

I'll be pleasantly surprised if he is a Vol tomorrow. Won't sweat it if he isn't though.

That's where i am at this point. From my perspective he's an un-committed prospect with SEC quality who is highly interested in Tennessee and it would be butter if he chose us tomorrow.

To end our class with two SEC-quality d-lineman would be awesome.

This is the type of kid who leaves after the first year if he doesn't see significant playing time. Nbd if he switches.

Unfortunately that isn't how it will play out if he goes to Clemson. It won't be pretty in this thread.

It's a tough choice - kid has 2 good programs and 2 good recruiters going after him - I can see where it would be a difficult choice - don't think that necessarily makes him a prima donna

he said right after he committed that he was going to take his visits and make sure he is at the right spot - so don't think he misled the staff or anything

hopefully he picks us b/c someone has to be in the 2 deep at DT and SDE and it seems like he would have a reasonable shot at it early in his career
