Taking away an option for an offense is Huge. That's why those kind of guys don't have tackle numbers but are still valuable

IMO our defense would look much better with quicker DTs(285-300) and would allow the LBs to make a lot more plays as well.

You game plan around anything. Just because you have a big body doesn't mean he's always on the field.

If you can get the opponent to avoid middle runs then you've got an advantage. The middle is the most important to defend.

McCullers has done an excellent job clogging the LOS, IMO, stopping a bunch of runs for little or no gain, even when doubled. And even if he doesn't make the tackle, just pushing his blocker into the backfield is often enough to derail the play.

That said, I'm beginning to like Thomas more and more. So the only option left is take all 3, Reed, Mosley and Thomas. How, IDK.

Maybe no one wil notice we signed 38 players.:shhh:

Would we be able to take Mosley, Thomas and a JUCO? No way we could take 2 more JUCO + Mosley and Thomas right?

I'd be interested in seeing people rank the remaining DT targets in order of want, JUCO and high school both included...I honestly don't know what order or combo I would prefer right now.

I might take Reed over Lamin, either way I think they are clearly 1/2. Provided we get at least one I think I would put Thomas next based on his potential. And then I agree with Hertelou over Mosley unless they see him as a potential impact OL as well, that versatility could be important.

Also, Cory Thomas may be speeding up the process as well and could make a decision soon as well and Tennessee seems to be the team to beat there as well.

Bruin VQ has made you look foolish more than once, it's probably time you stop questioning them.

As I've said before, just because they say someone is a take NOW, doesn't mean the same as someone being a take next month. For example, right now they say Mosley and Thomas are takes, well if Mosley commits, followed by Lamin and Reed, I'm not sure that they're saying NEXT month Thomas is a take.

That's reasonable but that doesn't seem to be what VQ is saying

I presented a scenario, I never said that's set in stone how I feel. I'm just trying to clarify VQ has not said that under any circumstances, and any point in time are Mosley, Thomas, Lamin, Reed, heurtelou all takes.

They're saying as of now some guys are takes, that doesn't mean the answer is the same next week.

IMO there must be an order and all aren't takes now.

VQ would be better served saying we are taking 3jucos and 1 more hs DL. We appear to lead for all names listed. The order of preference is unknown

Maybe there is no order of preference after the first name or two, and it's just a first come first serve.....therefore making the statement that all of those guys are currently takes accurate?

Ok again as I said earlier it is reasonable to say they are first come first serve.

There has been none of that come from VQ.
