134 Yards of Total Offense for UTEP

UT held UTEP to 134 yards of total offense. When was the last time that happened?

I get that UTEP isn’t Alabama but UT couldn’t stop anybody the two last seasons.

Defense has improved but they are going to get gassed the next few weeks because the offense won’t be able to stay on the field. The UF dline will probably be in the backfield before the football is handed off

They were the worst offense in FCS last year.....slow your roll ole buddy.
You may be a little touched in the head to figure out what OP is saying: Last year this team would not have been able to do that...so it does not matter if it was the worst offense in the galaxy. The D accomplish something positive today

You mean FBS. They are in Conference USA. Guess what? UMass, the bad team we barely beat last season, got blown out by Florida International today. And FIU is no powerhouse. They barely beat Old Dominion in their last game. So yeah... There are reasons to be happy with a 24-0 shutout. When was the last time we played awful and still dominated a team? Tennessee has been in a lot of nailbiters against bad teams in recent years. How quickly people forget...

A football player at this level has had hard practices no matter who is the coach. The problem with this roster is most of the players are used to losing and the young guys don’t know how to win. A losing attitude is hard to break especially for a new coach. Unfortunately, most of the dead wood is going to have to graduate or be recruited over for it to change

Defense has played good for 5 of 6 halves so far this season I feel. I think Florida struggles offensively Sat. I believe that Pruitt is going to turn Kirkland and Bituli loose and Chandler breaks another big one! Defense has potential stars at every level on defense in Suttle, Kirkland, both Fr DBs and Warrior. If the DL can stay healthy we'll be ok defensively.

The thing that impressed me the most was the fact that the defense stuffed UTEP after we gave them great field position off the muffed punt. Football is a game of momentum and emotion and those are the kind of situations where defenses have breakdowns and give up points. That was huge for Tennessee's defense to not give up any points there. I dont care how bad UTEP is. That is sign of maturity and improvement.

So because our offense takes a while to get going, and they have played two cupcakes and a noon game with a lack of energy they quit on him???

That's a bigger reach than Pig Howard against Georgia in OT...

Theyve improved each game, and we won't truly know what this team looks like locked in until SEC Play. We open AT NIGHT, AT HOME, against Florida. They will be hyped then.

Most of the second half of the WVU game it looked like the defense had given up. Other than that, the defense really has been pretty good so far.
