Do recruits have to say they have "high" interest in a school to get said level put on Rivals? It is good to see that he has that much interest in us this early.

Whoever created his profile has probably done some interview with him, his family, etc. or they just have a hunch that he has high interest in those schools.

I don't believe it's random. It's looks like he may have a high interest in playing in the SEC in a couple of years with Alabama, Arkansas, and Tennessee being up there. Plus, he attended a Top Guns camp in Virginia last year. We may have seen him there.

I have watched this kid play, he has a huge arm, makes great choices but is a bit slow, this is his only downfall. He has two years remaining at the high school level and should put up some impressive numbers the next two season. They have changed their offensive scheme in 2011 to utilize this qb's talents. He is being sought out by many of the SEC colleges due to his Top Gun performance in Virginia in 2010. In additon, he has been in contact with these colleges as well and is being conisidered as a top recruit for 2013. He will participate in the July camps at Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama and Florida State.

Absolutley...I know that his first choice is the Vols...but its too early to tell if he can play that caliber of ball. I know that he is being tutored by Chris Miller the QB coach for the AZ. Cardinals as well at no cost to the family so their must be something that's special???? Time will tell!!!!

Thanks, cadets.

Also, there is no relation to Matt Cassel.

Does he have some sort of ties to Tennessee? Kind of uncommon for a kid that far out west to favor the Vols this early.

I dont believe there is any direct relation to Matt Cassel as well as Tennessee. The Vols is where he would like to play and the current offensive package fits him well.

I know that if this kid can stay healthy for an entire season, he will put up some impressive numbers and will most likley break the current high school records held by former NFL QB Carey Conklin. The key of course is if he can get through an entire season without breaking something....

I have heard that he intends to become a doctor so that could be another reason for his interest? I will keep you all posted on his seasons performance!!!

2013 QB Koney Cassel has been placed as the # 2 rated qb in Washington State and # 28 in the nation by Rivals with only five games played last season.....The Vols need to take a good hard look at this kid as one of their 2013 top prospects.

Washington Leaders through Week Two

Eisenhower junior QB, Kolney Cassel. Other notables: John Murphy (Meridian, 274 yds), Dominic Boddie (South Kitsap, 263 yds), and Kyle Hanson (Lynden, 189 yds).

Two quarterbacks from Yakima are lighting it up this season. Davis (4A) QB Deion Wright has thrown for 610 yds and 4 TDs, while Eisenhower (4A) QB Kolney Cassel has thrown for 6 TDs and 571 yds.

My old high school played against Davis and Eisenhower yearly. Good to see eastern Washington is still producing some decent talent.

This record breaking QB has all the tools to make a great college QB if given the opportunity. He is smart, 3.76GPA, takes honors courses and is an incredible talent as Rivals is quickly recognizing. Still ranked as the #2 QB in Washington State under Max Browne, he is just as good and will most likley go head to head for the East vs. West All-Sate game in May. It will be fun to see how they match up!!!

This kid has what it takes no doubt about it....He has broken Drew Bledsoe, Carey Conklins records in eastern Washington and he did it as a Junior....He is one QB that should be considered....He still has one year remaining to blow out the state records...
