I live in auburn and I've been hearing from a lot of people around here that Green is a silent commit to AU..does anyone know when he is going to announce? also, does anyone know if there is any truth to this?

AU people have been optimistic about Green for months now. But even if he does like them and maybe to the point that AU leads I can not see him end up there with direction of that program and possibly only winning 4 or 5 games. I doubt the staff will be around if that happens.

While I mostly agree with you, I don't see anyway Chizik does not get another year and with 2 first year coordinators there probably will not be anything more than minor changes to the staff. Also don't see those changes involving Luper so any staff changes would really not have much influence on green.

I believe he plans to announce in October. He didn't give a date but is visiting Michigan in late Oct, so I assume it will be after that.

It's crazy looking at UGA's run game dominate, and both of their RB's are true frosh. Then compare it to Tennessee's which is kind of embarrassing, that is a direct recruiting miss staring you in the face.
So many top backs have excelled in their 1st year, which tells the fan base(us) that we are 1 guy away, 1 Derrick Green away. This guy could dramatically transform the offense.

Just heard Fornberry on Sports Animal. He was saying D Green really, really like TN. Said his family also really, really like TN. Also said he wouldn't be surprised if Green didn't go on his visit to the barn.
