The kid had a great visit and his mother loves it here. She plans on coming back with him on his official, cant ask for much more than that at this stage.

I don't know if this info has been posted previously before but Basilio had a lot to say about the Derrick Green recruitment today. See The Tony Basilio Show.

In a nutshell, Basilio said that, in his opinion, this one is flat out too close to call. Six weeks ago, he considered Michigan to be in a clearcut leader's position. Butch Jones and his staff, however, have done a great job and that whatever lead Michigan previously had has all but "evaporated." He was surprised that Green did not publicly declare for Michigan at the Army All-American Game earlier this month. For additional information, see his blog.

Well, whatever happens tomorrow I still think CJG is doing a great job. It's clear this has been a really hard decision for Green, whereas I would guess a lot of people didn't think it would be once Dooley was canned.

CJG is going to reel a big one in. If not tomorrow, it will come in the not too distant future.

Also coming from his mom. DG takes notes on every visit he makes to each school, a pros and cons list. He has nothing listed on the con side when it comes to Tennessee, the only school she could say that about.

Yeah, I'm trying to stay chill on this one. Excited that we have a legit shot, yet knowing it very well could be Michigan. Save all the trippin' for if he picks UT. If he doesn't, I'm prepared to let it go and move on.

Thanks for posting. I had forgotten about this. I'm sure constant coaching turnover entered the "con" column somewhere in late November. but otherwise, hope that column stayed clean.

He has done a good job of not releasing any info about who he is most likely going to pick. Just good vibes for each team. Fingers crossed. I want a bruiser back. This could also give us an edge on some recruits, and I mean that by UT can still recruit and is looking to turn around the program.
