'13 VA LB E.J. Levenberry (FSU commit)

It will all depend on how we perform on the field. CBJ is a relative unknown to prospects. If we perform reasonably well on the field next year I think recruits will take notice and push us over the top instead of finishing second as we so often do.

I agree. Several recuits this year IMO just wanted to see UT get that big win. See us get over that hump. When it did not happen, it made them 2nd guess Tennessee. I think with a great showing at Oregon, we would be set up for big things moving forward.

We moved them pretty well when our o-line was freshman. Think what those grown men will do this year.

Our D needs to really step up early this year if we even have the slightest chance at beating Oregon.

Containing the edge, covering their WR's, recognizing misdirection, pressuring the QB.

Stanford proved that Oregon can be beaten with a hard nosed run game. The thing with Oregon that makes them so difficult is their speed and big play ability. You have to play disciplined defense 100% of the ball game. K State did it for one half of football then Oregon hit a few big plays and it was over. Klein had to throw the ball to get them back and that was to Oregon's advantage. I'll be interested to see what the Vols do but our defense and running game is going to have too improve tremendously.

If we could somehow beat Oregon thing could really pick up. I don't think we can beat Florida or Bama but we get Georgia and SC at home. If we could split those and beat Auburn, KY, and Vandy, and MO. That would exceed my expectations but it is possible. That kind of season will attract many recruits.

Make it to a bowl game and win it. That's my 2013 expectation. Doable IMO.

I think that would help recruiting. Just look at Ole Miss.

Have people written EJL off already? If we have dad we have a shot. Skeeter said coaches are very confident.

I say we win at least 7 in the season next yr. maybe eight. Then go to a bowl for a shot at another

Crazy thing to me is I looked at the Scout and Rivals FSU boards and no mention of Levenberry at all. It's like they don't even know he visited UT or don't care. If one of our star recruits is visiting, we are about to cut someone. :eek:lol:

Nobody gets everyone they want or their "what could have been" although a few teams may come close. Four of those guys weren't even considering Tennessee six weeks ago. Keeping Carr and getting Bell and Levenberry would be great imo. Give this staff a full year and it will start producing top 10 classes as long as the product on the field is not horrific.

This^ good post

Rivals interest list aren't up to date then. No matter what that says or who he picks he has interest. Sometimes they don't update very fast, that is the only explanation for that. We have a good shot I believe.

It will be interesting if he talks to a recruiting service about his visit here, or just keeps quiet till he signs.

His dad said that they would have a family discussion on Tuesday night and come to a final decision. He did say as far as he knew EJ was still committed to FSU. Just have to let it play out...
