Well CBJ almost is in a no win here. He's got us in on all these big fish, got everyone excited and now it appears we're gonna strike out with most of them. Big coup to get VB. Good job to secure North, but the news isn't good on any of the others. Hope I'm wrong but I think we strike out on Boyd, Levenberry, Lawson, Ford, and Belemy.

Has been a common theme for us the last few years, although I think the tide will slowly change with this staff. It stinks, as I really thought EJ would be a Vol if we got him on campus the last weekend. We did, but it sounds like he wants to stay with FSU instead of playing in the best conference in the country.

Why leave off Bell, do you think we strike out on him. Kinda need to be fair and balanced, if we land Bell and North that is to top notch players we got. No doubt we probably won't land all but out of the ones you mentioned I think we land at least one. Also you didn't mention Dobbs either, again another quality player we have a very good shot at,IMHO. Just trying to list them ones we do have a shot at or land. Not sayin you are just many seem to go on about the ones they miss on and not the ones they landed. In short we will get our share,IMHO!! GO BIG ORANGE!!!

I know its getting old. But I do think we are in good shape with Butch&co. On the field and with recruiting. Maybe EJ will listen to his pops and make the wiser decision.Though, I have a feeling from here on out things are gonna start changing for Ole Rocky Top! The cycle of misfortune has to break at some point. Hopefully it is now.

Don't think our class will be that great. However, Butch and staff have to be proud the way they tried. We could not ask for anymore hard work than they have given. Did the best they could in the short time. I am surely not complaining. Guess I am getting use to it. Maybe old age has given me more patience.

Just kinda odd because we are out of it for Lawson and to me Bellamy will likely sign with UGA. So lets say we finish w dobbs, levenberry, ford, and bell. (which I dont think we will get all four.) who else do we have to think about signing? The reason I ask is because I havent seen any other names pop up. Possibly Tyler Boyd and malik foreman? Who else

Miller and Brown are in the mix. And I think there will be an NSD surprise, probably at RB. We will see.

Definitely isnt gonna fall on the disappointing side. We have a nice class already and Bell looks like a Vol, as does Miller. Ford is looking better every day as is Dobbs. Thats far from a bad class and Levenberry is still very possible. Landing North and keeping Carr was huge. This class will have a very nice ending especially with all the mending this staff had to do. Nothing short of amazing with what they have been able to do. Not getting Lawson isnt the end of the world. Getting Bell will be huge.

I agree. I probably worded my post poorly. I meant it would be a disappoint as compared to what could have been. Green, Lawson, Belemy, Levenberry in addition to North, Bell, Carr and company. Big fall off from what could have been.

Nobody gets everyone they want or their "what could have been" although a few teams may come close. Four of those guys weren't even considering Tennessee six weeks ago. Keeping Carr and getting Bell and Levenberry would be great imo. Give this staff a full year and it will start producing top 10 classes as long as the product on the field is not horrific.

Recruiting is a roller coaster ride that we all have to ride until the end. Sometimes we enjoy the ride and sometimes we don't. Hopefully we will be pleasantly surprised come Wednesday.

It will all depend on how we perform on the field. CBJ is a relative unknown to prospects. If we perform reasonably well on the field next year I think recruits will take notice and push us over the top instead of finishing second as we so often do.
