'13 VA LB E.J. Levenberry (FSU commit)

I think this kid ends up being a vol. Another one just looking for a reason to commit.

Florida State commit E.J. Levenberry to visit Tennessee again before making final decision
By Preston Williams Per Washington Post

Hylton All-Met linebacker E.J. Levenberry, who unofficially committed to Florida State during an April ceremony at the high school, this weekend will make his third trip to Tennessee before officially choosing a college by National Signing Day on Wednesday.

“Basically, this is just a leave-no-stone-unturned trip,” said Eric Levenberry, E.J.’s father, “so he doesn’t look back and say, ‘I wish I had gone there.’ That was the school he originally liked, prior to Florida State. That’s the stadium that he wanted to play in because of their fans and everything.

“You don’t want to two or three years later look back and say, ‘Why didn’t I go look at them and check them out?’”

Florida State followers will be happy to know that the FSU “war chant” plays before you can leave a message on Eric Levenberry’s cell phone. Three Seminoles assistant coaches spent about two hours at the Levenberry home one night this week, the elder Levenberry said.

Because of changes in the Tennessee coaching staff in recent years, the Volunteers had stopped recruiting Levenberry for a time but recently resumed the courtship. Potomac (Va.) graduate Tommy Thigpen, formerly on the Auburn coaching staff, is now the Volunteers’ linebackers coach for new head coach Butch Jones.

At the time of his unofficial commitment, the 6-foot-3, 230-pound Levenberry chose Florida State over Michigan and Oklahoma. Levenberry last season made 172 tackles, including 129 solo stops, deflected 14 passes and hurried 24 others. He was a defensive captain for the East team in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio in early January.

“Right now, we’re still 100 percent committed to Florida State, and the folks at Tennessee are aware of that,” Eric Levenberry said. “Nothing really has changed. You want to know that you did your due diligence to research everything and every school.”

I remember articles just like this for Otha Peters last year. Funny how the article skated over FSU having to replace 6 assistants this year. Along with one of them being the reason his dad and EJ soured on the Vols. I think we will be hearing a commitment by the end of the weekend.

Would love to get Levenberry. He has soo much potential and seems to be a great young man as well. He would definitely be another stud added to our defense. Levenberry, Lawson, Bell, Carr, and Reeves-Maybin, add A.J. Johnson and Curt Maggitt, and we're talking true stud S.E.C. players. Hoping everything falls into place, but really liking where we're headed with CBJ and his vision to be the best.

Ron i dont know what you do for a living that you can update this much but man, i got some serious love for you and all of your hard work! No homo!....

This gif was too funny

copy and pasting is a gift... Ron doesn't need you to fondle his manhood

Still remember the great game Al Wilson had. The leadership he demonstrated was unbelievable and remains so to this day.

My recollection was he made numerous key stops at very crucial times. Perhaps nothing spectacular or mind-blowing, just very important plays at important points of the game.

Maybe my memory is playing tricks on me, I just seem to remember how the defense rallied around him time and time again.

Cannot over emphasize AW's leadership and impact. Heart of a lion.

Al Wilson was always great, but I don't remember him turning in anything unusual or especially impressive in that game.

He had an amazing season. Both Raynoch and E-Mo had more highlights in the NCG though.

AW finished w/ a team high 9 tackles.

DG was Defensive MVP of the gm. His 'oskie-score' (my avi) sealed FSU's fate ensuring victory in the first ever BCS Nat'l Championship gm..

If I recall correctly, our safeties outscored FSU's offense.
