Did you watch Holsey in coverage any this year? Bringing Holsey and Smith in to pair up with Bonner and Gray would've been some nice young competition.

Yea. Wasn't that impressed. Just looked like another young athlete put out to play with the big boys too early.

Well damn. Let's just quit freakin playing football now. The mighty jmo doesn't approve of our coach. ONE FREAKING RECRUIT won't visit because it isn't Strong or Gruden. What's the point of even having a program anymore? I mean, the guy who tells us who we have offers out to doesn't like our new coach. He obviously knows what is best for the program. I vote that you should be the coach, ad, chancellor, and POTUS. All rise for the honorable jclown. Guess what dude. Nobody wants to read a bunch of complaining about the coach. If you don't like it, just freaking leave. The rest of us will be supporting Coach Jones as he leads us back to prominence.

Lol I say that I don't like the hire & I don't think it will work out but that's me freaking out & being a fairweather fan. Why do message boards even exist if people can't voice their opinion on stuff. I didn't go on a rant or blow up, I just said I don't like the hire & I don't think Jones nor his staff can get it done in the SEC coaching or recruiting. I hope I'm wrong, I really do but I just don't think it will work. Doesn't mean I'll stop cheering for Tennessee or being a fan b/c that will never happen. Hopefully Coach Jones' & his staff can recruit better than Dooley did & bring our program back, hope he proves me wrong.

There is a difference between saying you don't like the hire (which is completely irrelevant seeing as he has already been announced as head coach), and rationally stating concerns that he has to address in order to be successful. Bottom line though is that coaching tends to be a crap shoot, as evident by the fact coaches like Dirk Koetter (ASU), Rick Neuheisel (UCLA), Tom O'brien (NCSU), Dennis Erickson (ASU), Bill Callahan (NEB), Dennis Franchione (Texas A&M), and many others were well received by their respective fan bases . More coaches fail than do succeed at a major BCS program, and a lot of it has to do with a coaches ability to adapt to their given situation. Jones has been successful everywhere he has been. Does the Tennessee job present certain challenges that Cincinnati or Central Michigan did not? Sure they do, and I'm sure CBJ knows this as well. Seeing as he is now our coach regardless of whether or not he was your first choice during the search or not, how about giving him a chance to address those concerns before righting him off. We gave Dooley three years, the least we can do is let this guy actually coach a game.

I think its a good hire given the circumstances. I dont think it was an amazing hire, but hey at least this coach has won in his previous stents as a coach. It's unfortunate E.J. will let Butch's name get in the way of him coming here, but I'm rolling with Butch and would like players to come here because of more than football.

Holsey, Geno Smith, Levenberry, Vonn Bell, Trae Elston, Redmond, AJ Turman, Sheldon Dawson(must we go on), kinda funny these guys play positions of need huh. Dooley sucked ass man.

Makes me infuriated. Jeffrey Pagan is another name you could throw in there. And Eric MacLain [(sp?) TE that signed with Clemson]
