'13 VA LB E.J. Levenberry (FSU commit)

I agree - Levenberry, Bell, Lawson, Bellamy and/or Miller would be a strong finish on D and would greatly improve Jones' chances to turn it around. Add in a good haul of O-lineman, North, a good RB like Ford, and the Ohio kicker with the other commits and I would say he and the staff have done as well as anybody could have ever expected.

NO he and the staff will have exceeded any logical Vol fan's wildest dreams.

If "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts, we'd all have a merry christmas.......that being said, landing Levenberry would give a vibe and help round out this class.

I have decided not to get excited about anyone til that fax comes in!
This is my first year following recruiting on VN....I'm a nervous wreck. My brain tells me not to log back on til the 7th....but my orange blood won't let me stop looking every 2 freakin minutes!!!!! Stay Orange My Friends. ..

It's like this every year. So choose wisely for next year.

Expected to be in on Thursday to avoid any bad weather.

Not getting excited yet, but I have a feeling we are gonna pull some heavy hitters at LB out of the blue...Levenberry and Johnson. You must be very serious about that school, when you sneak in your official visit and schedule it during the week so that you don't get caught in bad weather again. I'm cautiously optimistic, but have a really good feeling about this defensive class.

You are the most optimistic poster on the board. Even though it usually doesn't happen the way you say, I can dig that you stay that way regardless.

There is nothing wrong with getting excited before Signing Day. The ups and downs is what makes following recruiting fun, well mostly fun.

I've toned it down a lot...and like I said, I am only cautiously optimistic. How can you not get excited with what this staff has accomplished in an extremely short time period? We are very much in the thick of the race with A LOT of big-time prospects...guys that we used to land all the time not too awfully long ago. The former players are singing the praises of our staff. There is A LOT to be excited about on Rocky Top...and they are proven winners wherever they have been...granted, that hasn't been on this big of a stage, but they can't recruit top prospects to Central Michigan and Cincinatti. They can get those guys to TN though...it may not be this year, but I believe the fact that they are getting these guys to visit means that if not this year, then next year.

If Dooley can sign top 15 classes with the product he put on the field and with NO history of being a winner, then what can this staff do with a greater work ethic (by a long shot!) and putting a winning product on the field wherever they have been. Yes, they still have to put that same product on the field now on the big stage of the SEC...we will see very soon just how good they are.

Honestly we can't be any worse than what we were last year. Levenberry and Johnson would be nice acquisitions for us--with Curt banged up last year scoring two LBs would be huge for this defense.

Man it's hard to rank all these potential recruits as far as 'wants' go but no doubt Levenberry is super high on my list. Fingers crossed! Go Vols!

"Jones and Thigpen were in Woodbridge, Va., tonight to see E.J. Levenberry and his father let us know the visit went well and EJ really liked coach Jones. Now comes the visit this weekend for Levenberry and his family as they plan to travel to Knoxville on Thursday for their visit. Tennessee has a good deal of momentum in this one heading down the stretch."

As long as we can get him up here with his dad I like our chanes. Now with Cunningham in play, we may end up with a good haul of LBers.

Yeah Levenberry and Cunningham would be both great gets. I don't think Cunningham made it in to visit though. We'll see how that goes moving forward.

The weather and him being sick is going to be a blessing in disguise IMO. Visiting this weekend with the dead period following will leave FSU helpless here. I like this weekend much better than last for that reason and him not sharing the spot light with bell.

Remember when Tennessee hired Butch Jones? EJ said that he was just going to stick with FSU.

Remember when Butch Jones kept recruiting him anyways? Now look where we are.

Is that more a product of CBJ or Sunseri landing on his feet at FSU?

Food for thought.

After what thigpen has done with levenberyy and Trey Johnson I can't wait to see what he can do with a full year.
