Interesting. He really is recruiting speed heavily right now and athletes. I have no idea whether or not he is offense or a DB. Would be nice to get a class of 7-8 guys that run a 4.4.

From ESPN:

Paul is a transition player from high school dual-threat quarterback to likely slot receiver or cornerback on defense. Is under center for his feet and athleticism only; is just serviceable as a passer and not a candidate to remain at QB unless in a triple option scheme. Has adequate height with a lean, athletic build -- looks like a skill player. He is an undersized, explosive runner that displays good foot quickness and play speed. Shows very good change-of-direction skills and lateral agility. He can cut and plant decisively and reaches top speed quickly. Displays a sneaky second gear in the open field and is somewhat of a homerun threat with the ball in his hands. Is an accomplished zone-read runner and makes good decisions in the run game on the option. Is in control and has natural open field run insitincts. He displays the same abilities at corner -- he can turn and run and he shows good closing speed. Can plant and drive on the ball and displays solid ball skills. However, he is also a freelancer on defense. Guess; uses his athletic traits to get by and is very green. Paul has tools to succeed on either side of the ball, but with likely a steeper learning curve on defense. Appears to have good ball skills on limited views defensively. Good athlete, developmental prospect.

From 247 this morning:

Paul, a three-star prospect who’s ranked the nation’s No. 54 athlete in the 2013 class by 247Sports, said the Vols are one of three teams he’s currently considering, along with Texas Tech and Baylor, and he admitted his level of interest in Tennessee is “pretty high.”

“I think I’m going to be going up there (to Tennessee) on January 25th. I’m going to Tech on the 18th,” he said. “I haven’t planned any other (visits) yet.”

His top teams are Texas Tech, Baylor, and UT. He said he elimited OK St. because they won't let him run track while in school. He said TTech is recruiting him the hardest right now.

I think we are looking good here if we really want him. We've locked up his last visit.

That link does not seem credible. I will stick with what Paul said until proven otherwise. You never know but some guy from a Baylor board posting he heard something is not saying much.

If he does indeed commit to Tech then I would say look for Jahmere Irvin-Sills to be a VOL after next weekend unless we are done at corner.

It feels good to be wanted that much," said Paul, who will announce his decision on air tonight at the 10 o'clock KFDX broadcast.
Maybe it's because on multiple occasions he has talked about having a good relationship with Tech assistant Sonny Cumbie, who is Paul's recruiter.
But if you were deciding on where to spend the next four years of your life, wouldn't you want to see the campus first? "If I do choose Tennessee or Baylor, it will be because of the relationship with the coaches," Paul said. "It's Division I football —everything is going to be nice. And I've looked a lot of that stuff up."
