this case is going to be interesting. People have known this was going on for a while, I heard about it close to 3 weeks ago.

Judicial process aside. (Innocent till proven guilty) it sickens me to see more outcry and sentiments towards the accused than the alleged victim. Anyone who wants to spin a 12 year old off as a consenting sexual partner should have their head examined.

What's even worse is she got pregnant, that's the only reason they got caught

Kids are sexually active at a very early age. 12 years old is 6th entering 7th grade. When I was that age, we had girls pregnant. (1994)

Working in a school now, some 7th graders easily look 17, though that does not even approach making it right and I am not condoning it in the least

I just moved from Columbia after living there for 12 yrs.....lots of great friends, but a rough place to live. Mt.Pleasant is a drug/gang infested area.

Ask Tiny Richardson about it...He went to Mt.Pleasant HS before Ensworth/Pearl.

I was waiting for someone to say this - both of my parents are teachers and I think many people would be shocked the number of sexually active middle schoolers there are - especially in lower income schools

You guys seem to be trying to make sense of this. I dont' give a crap about 12 year olds being sexually active, an 18 year old man should know better.

Being sexually active at 12 or 13 has to be emotionally damaging to a young girl. My daughter is 10 and I couldn't imagine her being sexually active at that age.

I don't think anyone thinks she is at fault here, that would be absurd if they did. But both of my parents are teachers too, and it really is scary how early they become "active".

I grew up in MTP and am a senior at UT. My brother is a captain on the team and is doing a devotion tonight after practice which ill be attending. There are some good kids here on this team and in the community. Please keep them all in your prayers.

Yeah I get what you're saying but geez..I wasn't laying the wood to anybody in the 6th grade (04). Maybe I just didn't have any game Lol.

I think you are misinterpreting things. Everyone has expressed outrage and we are offering commentary on the sad reality of what is going on.
