'13 TN RB Cornelius Elder

When I say "shot", I don't mean he's a guaranteed 1st Round pick. And I can come a hell of alot closer to guaranteeing him a spot on an NFL roster before I could an NBA roster.

Is that because NBA rosters have like 15 vs 75 in the NFL or your personal connections in the NFL?

I don't understand Elder's mindset. Anyone with half a brain can figure out that he has basically no chance of playing basketball professionally. If he was to concentrate on football, with his speed, he would almost be guaranteed of getting a shot in the NFL, void of him getting seriously injured or just bombing in college.

you do realize there are more pro basketball players worldwide than football right?

Im not saying he is guaranteed to go pro in either sport, but their is a better shot at being an under 6 foot return specialist at worst, than an under 6 foot point guard.

Actually Ramsey visited TN more than any other school. And I'm almost certain he visited more than 5 times. Not 100% sure but pretty sure he did visit more.
We weren't a "player" for Ramsey. He visited like 5 times in 6 months.

Superb athlete. Exciting to watch and excels at both (BB & F'ball) sports---too bad he's not 2-4" taller and 20-30lbs heavier. I'm leaning towards BB here.

Just tried a Deion sanders, lost 10, this guy as a pr KR and slot would be lethal tho. Get him the ball in an open space and just let him work.

I saw him reverse field twice on the same run and then score with relative ease. Last year. Dude is an offensive nightmare.

I can understand it. He obviously loves hoops more so than the gridiron. My best friend/cousin growing up was an awesome football player. 1900+rushing 29 rushing TDs as a senior in HS. He was very good at hoops too, but better at football. Everyone including me just assumed he would play football because he was so good at it. But hoops was #1in his heart so he went to a less acclaimed school to play hoops. I rode him about it for a while, till I found out how important it was for him to play college hoops. And that's just what he did. Just my take on things.

Had a friend just this past year who was a stud pitcher and QB. Turned down tons of baseball offers.. Vandy, UGA, etc. And went to Belmont to play basketball.

The heart usually wins in the end.

Elder rushed for 209 yards in the 1st half as Ensworth routed McCallie last night. He barely played during the 2nd half, finishing with 219 yards and 4 TDs.
