'13 TN RB Cornelius Elder

Grizzly adams did have a beard

I think we all need to go to our happy place. My happy place consist of a land where five, nay, ten-star recruits roam rampant upon a field where lays an orange Power T. And even better, they're all wearing that glorious T upon their crowns (otherwise known as helmets).

Elder said that Alabama, Miami, Ohio State, Virginia and Georgia Tech are showing interest. He grew up a Miami fan & if they offered they would shoot up his list. He wants to visit Alabama & Miami this Spring.

He has some family that lives in Harriman, Tn & they are Tennessee fans. He talks to Antonio Richardson a lot.

Is Tennessee not showing interest in him at this point?

"What goes through my mind is that he doesn't play one position, he plays six positions," the Tennessee Sports Writers Association Div. II Class AA coach of the year said. "He's the kickoff returner, he's the punt returner, he's the upback in one of our punt coverages, he's the safety on our kickoff team. So, he's all of those things before he gets to be the running back.

Watching the state championship game vs. Briarcrest. Elder needs to stick to football.

Corn wants to be a Cane. Sounds funny but TRUE.

This phenomenal athlete led his Ensworth basketball team to the state title this weekend, only a couple of months after leading the football team to its own state title. And he's only a junior!

I have no idea whether he intends to play both sports at the next level, but it is pretty obvious that he has the ability to do so. Does anyone know if Cuonzo or Dooley has a problem with an elite athlete playing two sports? Would it help our chances to recruit him for both sports?

When is the last time Tennessee had a major contributor in both football and basketball? I can't remember a single example.

That type of athlete is rare anywhere in college. Julius Peppers is the last one I can think of.
