'13 TN RB Cornelius Elder

OCI, not because I'm from East TN. I played HS football with Cody so obviously I'm going to show a certain level of interest in his recruitment. I could be wrong, but I don't think I've said or posted one outlandish thing about Cody or his recruitment. I realize he is a project and will have to work hard to even see the field.

LynxVol and GBO11, correct. Kilbs, after you put it like that I feel like the guy who could never make it big-time haha.

haha, i look at as not many people get to play college ball on any level, D3 or otherwise. the majority of athletic careers end at the high school level.

Hope we have better luck with TN running backs this year than last. IMO, Kimbrow, Robinson, Mathers, Walton was about as good a group of running backs as we could expect coming out of this state. With the exception of Elder, I would rather have probably all of 2012 running backs over 2013's. Just my opinion though.

I won't lie the one RB I want out of that group is Robinson by far. He'll be a star if he gets his grades together.

I have to disagree. Just go to one of his games. The defensive scheme and game plan just to stop him at RB.

He is athletic enough to play a lot of positions though.

I agree with Chavis he's best served on the edge. At WR he has Tavon Austin written all over him. At CB I can see him playing like the Holsey kid that plays for VT.

Thanks for the comment. All it does is fuel my son and make him work harder than he does now. To the nay sayers we will see who laughs last.:eek:lol:

Don't take it personally... I don't think he meant any disrespect to Mortons game..

In the meantime, you might want to use the ignore feature for anyone you don't care to read. The icon is on the left.

He might end up that way, but having seen him play in person, I want him at RB. JMO

Golden Tate was never as good of a RB as Elder is. Both are dynamic with the ball in their hands though.

Tate is probably the best player from the Nashville area the last ten years. He was just as good with the ball in his hands and had a better build to be a RB.

I would like UT to land Elder, obviously. I think he is hands down the best HS football player in the state of TN. And I know he is an ATH and can play a number of positions, but I would want UT to try him out at RB first. I have now watched his sophomore and junior film and he is very electric running the ball. And he is playing against some of the best, if not the best competition in TN. I think Rivals has him listed at 5-foot-11, 170 pounds. Granted he would need to gain a little weight, but that is not all too small for a RB. I'd like to see him on offense for sure.

Very good with the ball in his hand in space. I saw them both and my opinion is that in highschool, Elder is a better RB.

He is right up there with Patrick Turner. I was able to see them both first hand and either one could take over a game.

My friend's son was the QB for Goodpasture those years. Turner was good but didn't develop much after high school.
