'13 TN QB Charlie High

High did not measure at 5'9'', at UT he measured in at 5'11''

That's what I get for trying to remember and then reading whoever posted that first. 5'11" is better, but still short. People say Peterman is short and he is what, 6'1"?

Didnt UT have some east Tennessee guys on the national championship team?
Eric Westmoreland (chattanooga area)
Spencer Riley from jefferson county
Jason Witten (elizabethton)
J. Copeland (Harriman)
I am sure there are more

Yes. While I stated that Tennessee football as a whole is improving, I mentioned that Knoxville area was weak when I Played, as far as division 1 scholarships.

For example, maryville was killing it then but I don't know of anyone who went big. Halls was undefeated till big John Henderson got ahold of them in the championship game. There were wins, but not talent. Heck, catholic's David fillauer was 6'4, got 123 balls his senior year, and I remember reading his coach had not received one call from a college

I remember my brother taking an unofficial to UT in 97. Was the coolest thing I have ever done. Would have been a junior at Gibbs at that time. Of course it never went past that. He had a few offers, but nothing major. Had an offer from Wofford, don't know what division they were though.

Like you said, not much attention. Or you didn't hear about it atleast.

He will get a full ride somewhere. Walk on is not likely

I'm sure he will, but it's my understanding that most CAK kids aren't really financially strapped. He's got two good pals on board already. You never know.

Witten's freshmen year was 1999.

NC for UT was 1998.

Still all players listed above were very good to great Volunteers!

Too low of HS opponents! Anyone(most) can look good in 2-3A, until they meet against the big boys of the the 5-6A, way over rated! Not a UT candidate! Maybe a D2 standout!

Peterman is a legitimate 6'2". Hope Charlie walks on - he may could grow a couple of inches.

And a great athlete. And was the best QB in the state of Florida a season ago.

This kid would put up big numbers against anybody in the state, bro. CAK's big rival, Alcoa, beat 6a Maryville two years in a row. One of those years, Maryville won the 6a championship, the other, they were runners up.

Don't think CAK is to the level that AHS was a couple years ago, but their offense, at least, is close.

What was his name if you don't mind. I would have played against him. It might jog the memory. My senior year, some of the big names in Knoxville were Fred smith from Fulton, Dustin York from karns, Scott carter from halls. Powell had huge linemen too

The jury is out on his offer list, well check it in dec/ jan. half the country is running a mike leach offense, and Doug flutie says hello. IMO height is the SOLE reason for the offer list as it now stands. It's not like the Charlie high haters are saying anything groundbreaking pointing out he doesn't have ideal size. Wouldn't be surprised to see teams that run the air raid offer, like ecu with disciple Ruffin McNeil or Houston . I would be surprised to see an sec offer tho.

1) Half the country does not run a Mike Leach offense.

2) You can't give one example of a short QB who did.... okay..... in the NFL and use him as your entire argument for Charlie High.

Not sure if anyone cares, but I would like a Charlie High update from last night's game. Feel free to ignore thread if you find it irrelevant. :hi:

Heard the offense slowed down a lot in the second half due to smiths injury.
