'13 TN QB Charlie High

I was at the game and I thank Rusty tells him who to throw to before every play because he just looks and throws at one spot but he puts up some numbers.By far the best WR's in high school around here I have ever seen.

That could be a function of a pre snap read/ scouting. Certain defenses u know where the open grass is gonna be.

How many yards and td's would high have to get before he is considered good?

He would have to grow taller, move to a different region of the country to play high school football and not play in a Mike Leach offense. Then if he still had solid stats, maybe he would be getting offers from schools not named Liberty University and Tennessee Tech.

I thought the staff was going to offer him, though, when we offered everyone else on CAK's team. I'm still not even sold on Josh Smith and he had Xbox stats on Friday night, too.

You have to look at their competition. Anderson County High School would lose by 100 points to alot of Florida, Texas and California high schools.

We get it. You don't like him. Is there any point to keep bashing him? Who cares where he plays? He has great stats no matter how you look at it, and CAK is ranked 6th in the state by max preps. He has the most passing yards in the country and three of his receivers are in the top 50 in the country in yards. I agree that Anderson County isn't the greatest team in the state or area, but they aren't the worst either.

High is a good player and he should play at a small school and excel. I have talked with someone inside the program and when he was measured by them he was about 5'9" pushing 5'10". They said thats a main reason he didn't getting an offer.

If all else fails for him he should try JUCO imo, and try to put up equally impressive numbers.

The jury is out on his offer list, well check it in dec/ jan. half the country is running a mike leach offense, and Doug flutie says hello. IMO height is the SOLE reason for the offer list as it now stands. It's not like the Charlie high haters are saying anything groundbreaking pointing out he doesn't have ideal size. Wouldn't be surprised to see teams that run the air raid offer, like ecu with disciple Ruffin McNeil or Houston . I would be surprised to see an sec offer tho.

Texas A&M?...(SEC Pledge) Air Raid?

Not understanding what you're asking, I know that a and m will run the air raid with sumlin. I don't think they'll go after high tho. Would be cool to see him get a shot a legit D1 school tho. Remember this guy only has one year and one game of experience. There will be some offers this year barring injury.

you stated that schools with high powered passing offenses (air raid) would go after him and its unlikely that other SEC teams have interest

Texas A&M may have interest because they run the air raid, but I also doubt it

Russell Wilson proving some people wrong right now. He is out playing Matt Flynn. All you need is your chance and maybe High will get one.

I remember a QB back in 76 that Majors said was too short and he kicked our tail(once)and was all SEC.Whit Taylor,I played on the same team with him for 2 years and then he went off to Peabody.

Russell Wilson is 100x the athlete that High is though. If Russell couldn't extend the pocket he wouldn't be in the NFL.

I'm not saying High is Wilson but I'm sure when Wilson was in high school he was short. All High needs to do is look at Aaron Rodgers story. Nobody knows the kid may still get taller.

This. Let's watch it play out before jumping off or on the bandwagon. That's what the coaches are doing - evaluating.

Gatorade Player of the Year, broke 3-4 all time Tn State Records, 2nd in nation passing according to Maxpreps in his first year as a starting QB and yet everyone appears to be 2nd guessing Highs ability. Good thing someone decided to take a chance on Devrin Young.
Sometimes u just have to look at a kid like High and his ability to play AND WIN and say "let's take him". He's a winner. Don't over think it.

I dont think anyone is saying he isnt a good QB. If he were taller and played in a tougher area and put numbers like that up he would no doubt be a top prospect. He will do great things wherever he goes.

Wish him luck and let it go.
