'13 TN QB Charlie High

Even if it means taking two QB's in the same class, I would offer Charlie. He has great touch. An extremely accurate passer.

what offense does his high school run.. is it that tony franklin system?

I'm not saying I think Tennessee will sign him, but whoever he does end up signing with will get a special football player and someone that will lead their program to great things in his time there. I have absolutely no doubt about that. There's a lot of great players out there and some even better kids that "should" be signed by a top program somewhere,so its a shame that is being ignored with players like Kellen Moore and Russell Wilson breaking the mold this season and players in recent memory like Colt McCoy, Chase Daniel, and Todd Reesing, and the short Heisman winners like Doug Flutie and Troy Smith have all shown us height is not necessary to being a great player... I'm not saying that Charlie would be any of these guys, but it wouldn't surprise me if it did end up happening and Tennessee wouldn't have minded having any of those guys I named in recent years.

Per 247, he had a good visit to Tennessee this past weekend. The staff is still evaluating him & wants to see him in camp this summer. If Tennessee were to offer that doesn't mean he would automatically commit but he grew up a big Tennessee fan his entire life.

Where have we seen this before????

His family is dying for an offer I bet

Not saying this kid isn't a gamer, but from watching his film I don't see anything that would have our staff jumping on offering him. Maybe if he comes in and shows out at camp against some real talent.. but anything short of that I don't think we offer.

Just went over to watch practice, tour facilities, and talk to coaches. Going back for camp in a few months.

I think we could do worse state record holder in. Passing last year and runner up for mr football in tennessee wouldn't be a bad get at all

Why not its not like he has to play cause even if bray goes down again or leaves early then we still have worley and peterman he wouldn't jump either one of those guys, but by the time he is called upon to play he would be ready I say take, especially since he is a local guy would make for a great story pr wise if he is even serviceable at best

Because 1. Our numbers are low 2. UT doesn't need a guy wasting a scholarship.

Not taking a QB in this class helps our ability to get a top-tier talent in the '14 class.

I guess we have to start winning to attract top qb talent. I suppose bray has not been healthy enough to use the "next Tyler bray card.". Hopefully next year, or later this season

This is always the excuse for striking out in the current year.

We have definitely missed on some guys this year. I was simply referring to the fact that it's not worth it to just take a kid with no chance of seeing the field. We are more attractive to a '14 QB if we can sell them that there was no QB taken in the '13 class.
