Kendrick is already a full qualifier. Has a 3.9 GPA & scored a 22 on the ACT.

Hopefully he can become a EE.

This is one of those things where you got to trust Pittman;s judgement. The kid did something right.

Wouldn't he have to start taking online classes this summer in order to graduate early? That's if he wasn't already planning on being an EE.

Yea I think so.

Or I think he could get his class schedule changed in August to make sure he got all of his classes he needed to graduate done in the 1st semester.

I know when I was a Sr all I needed was to pass SR English & all of my other classes were just simple classes that really didn't matter.

I like big uglies with Orange already in their blood. If a D1 staff at UT sees him in person and decides to offer, I don't know why people would have a problem, unless you doubt DD and staffs ability to evaluate.

The kid is huge and apparently very smart. 6'5", just under 300lb, 3.9 GPA. That's the most important part. With good coaching, he can pick up technique. I don't see why in the world anyone would question this offer. EE would be icing on the cake.

I feel like we are on the cusp of having some good ole tn linemen fighting in the trenches like the days of wells, clifton, layman, teague, Still, etc.

I don't think he plans to enroll early at this point. I will ask him tonight.

He'd probably have to take summer school to do so, but it would put him above all the other '13 recruits from the start, which means earlier PT. I'm sure if it's possible the coaches will have talked to him about it.

He has good size and has a year left to get stronger and more than likely get stronger with year as a red shirt in UT,s s&c program. But there will be those star gazers and dooley haters that wont like the pick up because he is not a 5 star .But im glad to see some local big boys get in.And i do not see getting two or three more o linemen and three te with the numbers in this class.GO VOLS!

I agree. Our coaches jobs depend on them signing the right players. If Dooley and co didnt think he can contribute they wouldnt offer.

Are you just assuming he's not strong enough? I don't understand all this talk about needing to get MUCH bigger and stronger. Look at all the top '13 tackle prospects. He's bigger than most of them. Of course I hope he gets to redshirt, but lots of people are acting like he's puny and will be a huge project because he's so little.

Last year he played at 310 I think. He lost a bunch of weight when basketball season started. He will be back to his football weight soon if he isn't already there.

like it!
think it was Andrew Jackson that said "give me an o-line of 5 Tennesseans and ill whip any d-line in the country"
