Grew up in Ooltewah I live in Cleveland now.
Nice. Ooltewah is a lot more than it used to be. lol Seems like everywhere that used to be "out in the country" is now part of something bigger. I guess that's progress. When I grew up, Ooltewah was way out and mostly farms and horses. That's how I saw it from the friends I went to church with anyway.
At any rate, Austin is gonna make the whole state of Tennessee proud!!! I'm so excited to see him in Neyland Stadium playing for the University of Tennessee Volunteers!!!!!!!
Remember when Hamilton Place was a subdivision? Do you know it was named Neyland Forest? The last house that was in th area is what is now the Exxon on the corner of Shallowford and Shalllowford Village.

Neyland Forest?? Are you serious? I had no idea!! How crazy is that? That whole area around Shallowford is so much different than it used to be. My church is on Shallowford Rd and the pics now compared to what it was 10 yrs ago is crazy.
I appreciate it.

I remember that, I had a friend live there. I grew up over by Tyner. Worked at the Harrison Ball Field and the BiLo on Lee Hwy in high school. My wife went to Central and most of her family still lives in Harrison. I miss the Chattanooga area. We will return once I'm done with the military!
Glad you decided to join in....welcome! I love kids like Austin Sanders. Grew up a Vol fan. Is very talented and could have held out and waited to commit to UT later. But commited early.....and never waivered. A quality you don't see often. He has already endeared himself to the Volnation!
I remember when Hamilton Place was built. Gunbarrel Rd used to feel like a back country road. Also Hwy 153 north of Northgate mall. Before those Walmarts there was like a handful of little stores like Red Brown Tire and KFC. Past Winding Lane there was almost nothing clear to the 27 ramp. Maybe a dentist office or something like that . It's crazy how busy it all is now.
I remember living in chatt back in the day and going to harrison bay to swim. we would drive 75 north up to ooltewah and that was the longest trip cus there was nothing but trees and air on the way.
