Does use a tee, has to as a rule. Can't believe I never noticed with all the games i've been to.

Guys say he can hit from 45 on a regualr basis without one, though. Sometimes from 50+

most of the time players use a tee due to field conditions. A friend told me most private schools will not kick from a tee due to having a nice field & public schools may, due to the fact you never know what kind of field you will see from week to week.

unfortunately the High school season is over, but during the season i was 13 of 14 on field goals, making all 8 attempts over 40 yds and over 90% touch-backs on kickoff. during my high school career i made 31 of 35 field goals.

I believe I have the best record in the state if I am not mistaken

Well done and welcome to the board. You'll find that we are very friendly toward kickers given our field goal/extra point woes over the last few years.

the coach from tech called me Tuesday night offering me a scholarship to play. i also have looks from Austin Peay, eastern Illinois and a few smaller schools.

as of now i am not leaning toward any of those schools.

i would love the opportunity to play for UT. i have already been accepted for admission. when i was talking to Wilhoit early this week he told me that i have a good chance of playing at UT. he said he would personally talk to the new head coach on my behalf when one gets hired.

Best of luck Ryan, I really hope you get a shot with the Vols, even if its from a preferred walk on status.
