'13 TN DE Frank Herron

IMO Herron will commit once he is able to visit campus. I think he would have committed along w/ Carr & Patrick this past weekend if he had been able to visit. This kid is made for the "Jack" LB.

Article about him on 247 anyone care to summarize

nothing much, mentions new "national" offers Ohio St, ND, and Miami.

Also mentions going to JR day at OM, and that his cousin is enrolled at OM.

Hoping to hit JR days at Miss St, Tenn, and Bama soon

If he's already 6'5 250 I'm thinking he outgrows playing Jack.

He's going to be a nasty DE. I think on third downs with him and Carr they'll run some 4 man fronts in the future. With Trent Taylor at a DT spot and maybe O'Brien at the other DT spot. This defensive class will be better than 2012(which took a hit with the LB defactions).

New video of Herron on VQ. Sounds very, very good for UT. Herron states that he has visited UT once before for a basketball camp and he loved it. Loves the campus and university. He also talks about current Vol football player Cameron Clear and current Vol basketball player Jeron Stokes are his "brothers". He is also being heavily recruited by a number of other big name schools, but I really like the way he talks about UT. I would definitely call UT the favorite just basing it off tape.

"Cam Clear works around the clock for The University of Tennessee. We,Us, UT alums should thank The Lord each and every day that we have such a fine, first rate, first class individual as Cam Clear wearing the Orange. Cam constantly, continually, talks, brags, about UT to all his friends in Memphis! As he says, he's most fortunate on the UT team. He's one of just a few on the team who has both a mother and a father living in the home. He dad, Michael Clear, who I have known for 20+ years, was MOST influential in his son choosing The University Of Tennessee! Cam was not under Lane Kiffin, Ed Orgeron, etc. so he hasn't been influenced by comparing the various coaching styles as some of our players have."

- Vol Quest poster Tennstud1. He is a very respected poster on VQ with knowledge of the Memphis area. We are taking over Memphis fellas. Somebody post the damn pic of Hinshaw with the sunglasses again....

Tennessee looks to be producing some elite talent this year. I do hope CDD puts that fence up around the state for the top tier talent.

GO VOLS!!

I dunno how "respected" he is.

Next year priorities for me are 4 quality OLINE, 4 quality Linebackers, Elite QB and an Elite RB.

We absolutely agree on priorities. It's time for an ELITE RB.

Offense: 4 OL, 1 TE, 1 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB
Defense: 4 LB, 2 DE, 2 DT, 2 CB, 2 S
Total: 23

Dooley is doing a good job of getting the right Memphis kids. Clear, Tino, Carr, Herron, etc.

This is how I see it:

QB- 1
RB- 2
WR- 3-4
TE- 1
OL- 4
DL- 4
LB- 4
DB- 4
K- 1 (Jonathan King at Farragut has a good chance of being the #1 K in the nation).

That's 25. I know everyone will talk about the #'s & how many we can take ect.. But Dooley will find a way to get 25.

We'll take more than 4 DL

I agree they'll end up with around 25 when all is said and done.

For me, next year's classes most important needs are this:

1. 4 quality offensive lineman
2. 4 quality Linebackers
3. An Elite Running Back
4. An Elite QB
