Was Corey Smith even interested in any MS schools coming out of HS? I don't think he was. He was an OH kid. If he goes to this MS JuCo, and if he ends up choosing a MS school, that will only add confirmation to our already suspicious attitude towards those JuCOs.

No, he didn't have any MS schools in his final 3 out of HS. It will be something to watch going forward IMO. It was risky for him to change schools while trying to get qualified IMO. Honestly, you know they will say he switched schools to face better JUCO competition, but I find it hard to believe that he wasn't "recruited" to swap from one JUCO to another.

Herron will be great! Furthermore we already have 1 OL in Sanders. Our staff will easily lock down another 2 to 3 OL in the course of theyear.

I thought his JUCO dropped their football program?

I expect numbers to be pretty tight next year, wouldn't surprise me if we back off Smith.

If he really is this interested in Tennessee, you have to imagine that he would've likely committed to Tennessee had he made it in last weekend. With Carr and Patrick committing along with Sanders, they would've more than likely convinced him to pull the trigger.

Too bad he had a basketball game.

Smith will definitely be looking around, don't trust his verbal at all, especially with Baggit gone.

He already has size to play OLB in a 3-4 or he could come in and add some weight to his frame and play DE in the same defense...But at that current weight, no way he is a DE in base 3-4 defense...

you expect numbers to be tight for what reason? Is it cause we just took 20 guys and possibly once we finish this class it has 21 or 22 commits. So then next years EE we can take 3 to backcount and then sign off a close to full class. 26 or 27 doesnt seem tight to me?

Problem isn't the yearly allowed to sign. The problem is that we will bump against the 85 scholarships rule.

He will be an end.

Actually he would be the 6th commitment, assuming Corey Smith is still committed. And I'm fairly certain that all of them are 4 star players (for the star watchers).

I doubt they pursue Corey Smith.

If they get Herron I do think that likely gives them another kid who is pretty much a lock to be at least a 4-star. Carr is going to be rated very high nationally IMO, we're talking a National Top 100 recruit... McKenzie will probably end up a 5-star and I think Sanders is a solid Top 250 guy.

We're not pursuing Smith.

Next year priorities for me are 4 quality OLINE, 4 quality Linebackers, Elite QB and an Elite RB.

I see us taking more than 1 RB next cycle after only bringing in Hill and Bourque. I consider Watson an athlete more than a RB.

There are plenty of really good RB in the '13 class to go around.

Looking to take 2 stud RBs. Having CJG makes it possible.

I agree they'll probably take more than one RB in next year's class but I think getting at least one truly elite RB is a must.
