I just had a brief visit with Malik Foreman who is at a basketball game and couldn't talk. We are supposed to talk tomorrow. He did say that he has spoken this week to both coach Jones and coach Franklin at Vanderbilt.

He didn't give any more details other than we are to talk tomorrow. I get the feeling things are continuing to move in the right direction for the Vols.

We will see what Foreman has to say tomorrow as he's set to visit in January.

Goeas, Zanca, Barnes and others would help this team much faster than Swafford. I'm not a fan of small backs that lack breakaway speed. Standards are down around here when people want guys like Swafford to get a UT offer. Good luck to the kid though wherever he ends up.

If Swafford was a five star than people would be drooling over him. People just don't want him because he might be a two star.

I'll take guys like Swafford or Devrin Young over headaches like Tyler Bray and Justin Hunter any day. At least you know that Swafford and Young will give there all for Tennessee every time they put on that uniform and not curl up in a ball when they are about to get hit like Hunter did or get rattled every time he gets nailed like Bray did.

Not bashing but Dooley had the same motto... So did Buzz Petterson when he was here. Got to get those character guys to be vols... Listen, a great coach gets a great player with an attitude and teaches him how to be a winner inside. How many people does Nick Saban have to deal with on a yearly bases? Hardly any because players know he's all bussiness. When players are out ding dong off like Rodgers it's usually because they have no respect for the head coach. If you are a head coach you demand that respect and you hold everyone accountable. Players don't screw around on Bama because they know Saban would lay the smack down on them. He has a zero BS tolerance policy and he doesn't care if you are a star player or not because he has someone just as good waiting on the chance to play.

I'm serious give me a Zach Rodgers or a Devrin Young, or a Josh Smith, and I'll take a team full of them stars arn't everything. If I'm a coach I want guys who want to play and feel like they are entitled to just because of their ranking.

i did not have a problem with Hunter. He played very well before the knee injury and appeared to still have some mental issues about the injury. I think the NFL teams will think he will be a great receiver in their league.
