Not saying he will make or break us. You missed my point. People are bxtchn about ramsey talking about hurd. So they said he is average and also that by him saying that quote then we can critque or critize his game. But in reality if we do that then we are being hypicritical ourselves. That is what I mean he is the 5* not us. Talking about the individual posters. Not the UT nation and team.

Disagree because Ramsey can play rb and if he had as many touches as hurd he could be equally productive. However, I do not believe hurd could affect the game like ramsey does at safety, wr, or cb, and also on special teams blocking punts and kicks.

Hurd could most definitely impact a game at WR. I wouldn't doubt his ability as a LB either.

He changes and impacts the game in many different ways with less touches than hurd and other players. He is a game changer on offense, defense, and special teams! And by him saying he would smach hurd, people call him jealous? To me sounds like the confidence our defense needs! But say what you want he is backing up his words week in and week out! And no one on this board should even try to say anything negative about his talent as he is the 5* and we are not!

USC has 4 DB's in the league now: Shareece Wright, Taylor Mays, Polamalu, Terrell Thomas

UT has 3 now: Jason Allen, Berry and Jabari Greer. I think we hold our own with DB's being sent to the league.

Disagree all you want. Bottom line is Hurd does get the touches and makes the most of them. He is also a 14 recruit and currently (or recently) the leading rusher in the nation Do you understand that....in the nation? Ramsey is great but there is no doubt in my mind who the top athlete in the state is.

Who's disrespecting who???? There is no doubt Hurd is having an excellent year, or that he is an awesome talent. However, stats are not the whole story. You can argue all you want about the level of competition that Hurd and Ramsey face each week during the regular season, but one thing is for sure: Ramsey went to the elite camps last summer and showed his stuff against the absolute best that the nation has to offer. Everyone knows how he stacks up against that type of competition - that's why he is considered an elite talent. Hurd hasn't done that yet, so I think some of you might be a bit premature in anointing Hurd a better football player than Ramsey. He may well eventually prove to be, but until he faces the kind of competition that Ramsey did this summer, we just don't know.

Kid dominated all summer on defense everywhere he went. Like I said I don't know how as an athlete you could rank him second best in the state.

He's not a good RB like the other poster is trying to make him out to be but he can do it all on the edge.

Holding your on in 7 vs 7, without pads is a little different with getting it done on the field with less talented DB's. He earned the offers, but saying he'd smack Hurd is a little absurd. :loco:

My point. Talk crap you must expect some blow back. I believe Hurd had a game winning/ clinching int last week.

Ramsey has been doing it in pads too. So I wouldn't say he's a 7v7 king.

Actually guarding a WR is harder without pads 1v1.

To say Hurd is the better athlete is a bit premature. He's a better offensive player. That's a fact but is he the defender Ramsey is??? Highly doubt it.
