Lots of people who live in TN are Hurd fans and don't like some diva bashing him because someone besides himself is getting attention.

And safety or not, Quick torched Ramsey's secondary and at times Ramsey himself. No shame in that because Quick is one of the best, but Ramsey doesn't get a pass because he plays safety. He's one of the best himself, but downplaying someone else's game invites people to knock yours.

You just defend him because he's a fellow DB :)

You seriously think Ramsey playing safety could really have taken a WR out of the game?

At CB I would say he got torched but safety is a completely different position.

Funny thing is this kid would've said this even if he were committed to UT. I don't see a problem with this kid talking trash one bit. Happens all the time between teams/players that'll never play each other.

People/fans need to stop bxtchin over stuff that has nothing to do with the program. These are the type of players that will take UT over the hump.

People are also HS football fans, being irritated at Ramsey has nothing to do with UT, at least in my book. And you can't say that a safety isn't responsible if the other teams WR abuses them. Just because he didn't man up on him the whole game doesn't mean safeties don't help at all in the passing game.

BB I like players to talk noise on the field and respect people off the field. He is talking shiz about Hurd because Hurd is the newest best thing and he's in his back yard. Hurd is hands down the best athlete in TN right now and he is jealous.

Providing help is so much different than lining up on this guy. Safeties have to worry about the run game as well as the TE splitting the seam. So much different than playing outside at CB. But flip it how you want man.......

You're right, a WR dominating a team is solely the blame of the CB, not at all of the safety or anyone else.

I personally don't see how people call this kid a moron or downgrade the kid's talent level. He said this on his twitter not ESPN. You guys are blowing this thing up.

To be fair I did not call him a moron and simply said Hurd was a better athlete. Im not bashing him, hell, being second to Hurd is a compliment.

90% on the CB. Wasn't like Quick averaged 25-30 yards a catch so that means he only went up top successfully once. Which was the bomb he caught on Ramsey.

The Safety can't stop hitches, slants, curls, outs, crossing routes, or dig routes. Just stop it dude. Safeties help out most on Posts and Go routes. Unless the coaches play the safeties shallow like some cover 3 and the strong safety would be the down man.

Like I said try to flip it how you want because you want the kid to look bad.

I don't think he's bad at all. I'd take him in a second. I said he's knocking Hurd for no reason, and when you do that, people get to criticize you too.

As an athlete is he really behind Hurd??? Both are elite players. Ramsey can make any play that needs to be made in the secondary or at WR. So I wouldn't say he's second best as an athlete. Hurd is just having a great year. Not knocking Hurd period.

People rarely/never publicly bash other people if jealousy is absent. Everyone is talking about Hurd and Ramsey wants everyone talking about Ramsey. He didn't say Hurd is good but I'm better, he said Hurd is nothing special.

Thats cool. you spend more time with athletes than I do and probably see some stuff I dont. But to me...Hurd is the more talented kid.

If ramsey touched the ball as many times as hurd or even corn elder he would easily produce equal or better stats. He scores almost every other time he touches the ball. And he plays in an equally if not better division.

So now Ramsey is the second best athlete to Hurd? I still think ramsey is the best athlete tn has in the state. He changes and impacts the game in many different ways with less touches than hurd and other players. He is a game changer on offense, defense, and special teams! And by him saying he would smach hurd, people call him jealous? To me sounds like the confidence our defense needs! But say what you want he is backing up his words week in and week out! And no one on this board should even try to say anything negative about his talent as he is the 5* and we are not!

HOLD THE HELL UP! We Are the Five Star Here. No player is bigger than UT. Now he can come win with us or go to whatever school he's going to. Better get your mind right. We're not on the Top 10 wins list because of Ramsey. Guys like Eric Berry, Deon Grant, Dwayne Goodrich, Dale Carter, Terry Fair, Gibril Wilson, Jason Allenand many other greats in the secondary are the reason for this. Ramsey won't be the first or last great DB that wears orange if he somehow came to his senses and came to play for UT. God bless ya and Go Vols!!!!!
