'13 TN ATH Jalen Ramsey (Former USCw, now FSU commit)

He had Greg Reid before anybody else. He found Rainey and Demps. Hell the other guys he had were mostly high power recruits. Then you look at getting a guy like Percy in. That's recruiting and doing it well.

To be honest, i've seen Greg Reid play multiple times is person, and he really isn't good at Corner. He's a great returner but he can't cover anything. Very overrated. Jmo.

I agree with everything you're saying. I'm just saying Urban found him when nobody was looking his way. But everyone blew him up after the UA All-American game(he looked very good).

Greg Reid was overrated just like Lawrence was when he went to Alabama. One big all star game and they "blow up". Reid is exceptional, IMO, as a specialist but was average at best as a CB. As far as finding Demps, Demps was down to us and Florida and we all know how well Fulmer recruited late in his career. So, for that matter we "found" him as well. Percy was a star no matter where he went and everyone wanted him. Urban even hired his coach to seal the deal.

No matter how you spin it, there's no reason for Auburn nor Florida to be "down" as abruptly as they were after NCs unless you're star gazing or not evaluating talent as well as everyone thinks you are. At BG, Utah and Florida he had and took full advantage of exceptional athletes at the QB position. He realized he sh*t the bed and left.

Meyer was the best when Heater and Strong were on staff at finding guys after they left he put to much faith in 40 and stars imo.

Strong was the one. He needs a bigger stage than Louisville. And I'm not talking Ole Miss or Miss. State. Would like to see him at SCAR or if Dooley(which I highly doubt) mucks it up here I want Strong here. He can flat out recruit too.

Didn't Urban openly admit he would offer guys based on who the Bama's, LSU's, etc. offered? Yes. Urban is a phenomenal coach. He's also very personable and excels when he's face-to-face with recruits, etc. However, from a talent evaluation perspective, CUM is definitely lacking.

Strong would be a beast at UT

Yes sir. It's looking like Strong is the real deal.

Isn't Ark talking with Strong right now. If so he would a nice addition for Ark.

He'd be great for Ark, but I don't think Ark is good for him. Tough to recruit up here: little winning tradition, VERY little local talent, only a tiny, EXPENSIVE airport, and now they can't even say they're the only SEC team in the OK/KS/MO area. On top of all that, they're losing most of their talent.

He might be better off waiting for Mullen to leave MSU if he wants into the SEC. JMO.

Or spurrier retiring, dont see him doing this much longer

He deserves better than Miss. State. He needs to wait until a big job comes open. If Muschamp and Dooley got big-time jobs I know Strong can.

Couple notes from talking to Ramsey and Gaulden...

Both players spoke highly of the atmosphere Saturday night inside Neyland Stadium and also took note of how UT's coaches made a point to visit with them even during pre-game warmups.

Gaulden said it was a huge weekend for him and moved the Vols up his board.

Ramsey noted Derrick Ansley's work still recruiting him and said the Vols still are recruiting him hard. He has an official visit this week to Florida.

Full stories tomorrow.

Senior highlights. He could be equally as dangerous as a wide out as a cb. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hnU6FnY4mEo&feature=youtu.be

"I thought they both competed great. Florida is a second half team and they showed a lot in the second half and tennessee couldn’t hang.” before the game, ramsey had a chance to talk briefly with the coaching staff. After the game the conversations were of a different nature.

“We got to the recruiting stuff a little late because of traffic but i still had plenty of time to talk to coach (derek) dooley, coach sal (sunseri) and coach (derrick) ansley. They were loose. They felt good about it and about how they would match up. After the game they just kept saying how we could use you out there and how i could really help. They said ‘ you see tonight how you could help us’.” 247

:) Thanks bro. It was a great win! Also, this was the BEST college game I've ever experienced. IMO Neyland is a jewel of college football and it should be a law that UT's home game be under the lights. Had a few Gators say they had some issues with fans at Gameday but inside Neyland all the fans around us were standup and classy.

Had Calhoun's really enjoyed the BBQ Steak and half slab..got my big boy on!

Took a few pics with crappy HTC that are ok but one of the Gators in our section is going to email me some better shots.

Enjoyed it!!!!
