'13 TN ATH Jalen Ramsey (Former USCw, now FSU commit)

Thanks for the Alabama take on what UT needs. That was what every VOL fan has been on here waiting for.

My statement stems from the fact that most of Kiffin's recruits want to leave after a year because he is a snake who charms the high school kids. He is not a supportive "coach-them-up coach," he is a recruiter. When and if Ramsey wants to transfer if he gave UT a look he would make everyone on here who think in state kids are made from magical unicorn horns happy. Personally, I could care less where he goes or any in-state kids. You get the best you can get that fit your system from wherever that may be. College is about starting a new chapter in your life and more times than not a new location far far away is a good thing.

So next time you want to tell me what is wrong with my sentiment, take your 1 cent and stick it where the moon don't shine.

Facts please on USC recruits leaving because of Kiffin?: Carlisle moved at Father's change of employment, Ambles had his own personal troubles, Baxter flunked out for all practical reasons. Kalil asked him to accompany him to the NFL draft as comparison

There is a long list of Kiffin recruits both here and at USC that have left/transferred. Fact.

The players that transferred at USC are the same type of players that transfer at any college anywhere.

They were buried on the depth chart (Kyle Prater), they got into trouble and were in the doghouse (Dillon Baxter), or they had other reasons such as "family" (Amir Carlisle).

There is always a reason. They just don't blame it on the coach. They usually leave the university on good terms , even if they aren't happy. Happens here. Happens everywhere.

I know that some left after Kiffin left UT, was that because of him being there or because he left? At USC, other then those who were allowed to transfer when the sanctions took effect (Malik Jackson to TN and another to Cincy) all others transferred when they were not in the four deep or for family reasons. I was only asking for a list with specific names to understand your point.

If your mission is to come here and clear kiffins name you are in over your head.

In other words , nobody would leave USC because of Kiffin. Do I have it right?

Players left Tennessee for both reasons. Aaron Douglas (RIP) left because of the change , but he had some problems that had to be addressed and I don't think he could get away with the things he was doing with a coach like Dooley.

Bryce Brown is anyone's guess. I just think he did as little as possible until he could get paid to play. I'm not even sure he stays if Kiffin does. His father made it sound like a life and death situation. He got to Kansas State and had a total of 3 carries and quit the team. He also talked about how much he liked both coaches. He moved back to Knoxville shortly after he quit. I really think if it was his choice , he stays.

We had several leave because of Kiffin. We had many more that we're planning to leave if he stuck around for year 2.

Nobody was really mad that he left. It was the way he did it. That's what most of the SC fans don't get. That riot was blown out of proportion too. It was the first night students were back on campus. They really should have taken notes from you guys back in 1992. That's how you riot. One mattress burning and a bunch of drunk kids singing Rocky Top just didn't live up to looting , building fires and throwing bricks off the heads of innocent people.

Moose, is he a lock to USC? I know that you stated his top 5 in order, but he is making his decision in a week. Can we still sway him to UT, or is this a done deal? Also, any chance that he is going to visit UT before his decision?

Yes, it's a lock now. He'll announce his commitment to USC next week. He's unofficially visiting Washington, but UT is out of the picture.

Not trying to be Captain Obvious , but he just doesn't want to come here. The staff tried. He wants to go to HellA.

This. Plus, he thinks USC can prepare him for the pros better than UT can. Doesn't make a lot of sense considering the SEC competition level vs the Pac 12's. But hey, I hope the kid has nothing but success. He's certainly a special player.
