Well so much for that. Just talked to Deuce and he said he's not even on volnation. Its sad that people would use other guys name on a message board. Again, i will state that as soon as we stop bashing our own players, maybe some of these big recruits will want to be a part of the real VOL NATION!! VN like that!

So Jalen's not coming to UT because...

(1) We're not recruiting him hard enough (even though he's our #1 DB)
(2) We don't have enough swag
(3) Anonymous posters on a message board are "bashing" former players

Sounds like a bunch of excuses to me.

Yeah because the things SC fans say about our state and the people here should make the Ramsey family real happy. But no need in telling him that if he doesn't know it. Right?

After this season, I'm confident there will be no reason for any in-state recruit to go anywhere other than UT...especially Ramsey. He and Bonner would be a nasty CB duo.

Ramsey needs to do what he wants. Not what his coaches or his daddy want. What he wants. At this point it just all seems like excuses. If he wants to play at SC have at it and good luck. Just don't come up with a bunch of bs reasons to try and take the pressure off him.

Especially message board clippings. Coaches and performance on the field is one thing, but you can miss me with things being said on a message board as being part of the reason.

You and coach keep directing your posts insinuating that I'm downing Ramsey. Well I'm not. Perhaps you should overlook me...I've got an old school mentality. I just remember the days when it meant something for a Tennessee boy to play for Tennessee. Ain't gotta explain to a Tennessee boy why he should hate Bama.

On the other hand, I've personally read NUMEROUS posts of USC fans calling Tennessee folks inbred, hillbillies, all sorts of crazy stuff. But I'm sure they don't mean that stuff in regard to recruits...just the rest of the state's population.?.?

So you are saying go with the excuses to make it easy on himself? Why? Because there is no need to. If USC it is , so be it. It just seems like people are reaching for reasons and it's starting to get old. Yeah , we would like to have him , but if he has other plans....man up and go there because you want to. Not because of the excuses by Buck and the rest of them. We will get over it if he decides not to play here.

Again, I'm with you. All this started over a post from a Bama fan if I remember correctly.?.? Then dudes came out the woodwork in defensive mode.

What headaches are we giving him BPV and what other way are you talking about? Let the people surrounding him talk down the program to make it easy on him? And nobody is asking him to say anything. This stuff is coming from his dad , his coach and Buck. I guess it's my opinion , but I feel like if he has to live here for another year , they are trying to make Tennessee look like the problem so he doesn't have to hear it if he does make that choice. It seems pretty obvious to me. We want Jalen here , but all this stuff from his camp is getting deeper and deeper everyday.

Yep. Things said by Kiffin and a Bama site were turned into "stuff we said". Completely not true. But if they say it enough people will think it was us. Funny how that works.
