Ht:6'5"
Wt:230 lbs
Class:2013 (High School)

a Colorado Commit who is now waivering due to the Buffs Horrid start and imminent coaching change.

no clue if he is even on our radar but seeing as how we have Alex Bullard taking snaps as TE, I'd like to think we are scouring the earth for Tight Ends

Officially decommitted.

According to Parsons, CU assistant coach J.D. Brookhart told him that he would not be considered a committed recruit as long as he planned to visit other campuses and weigh his options. Parsons, the No. 2-ranked prospect in Colorado, chose freedom. Already, representatives from Vanderbilt, California, BYU and Washington have been in touch. Arizona State may get in the mix as well.

Parsons will take an official visit to Cal on Dec. 7 and set other visits following his senior season at Parker (Colo.) Chaparral. Where he's leaning is uncertain at this point, but his relationship with CU appears over for good, as the possibility of a re-commitment is remote at best.

Branisel is just as good.

Rivals has Parsons as 4* and the 7th best TE in the nation.

They have Branisel as a 3* and the 29th best TE in the nation.

Obviously it's about fitting in a system though. It pains me to think we may be settling for less than the best. Hoping Branisel kills it!

The former CU Coach Embree cut him loose and Coach MacIntyre never picked up the phone to contact this guy... Colorado is one of worst programs goin and Coach Mac knows a little about evaluating talent. I think it is very telling Mac never even bothered with this this guy.

Uhhhh i thought that Parsons de-committed from Colorado because they ******* suck and wanted to go somewhere and not get shvt on by 30 points every game. No way in hell CU "cut him loose" because he would immediately start at Colorado.

Also how do you know MacIntyre never contacted him?

Honestly I could be that Parsons just does not want to go to Colorado anymore.

Why did you make a new account?

We never settle. We get the best player available for our system. Almost every tight end being drafted this year was a 3 star on rivals. It's all hit or miss

Anyone know why his offer list is so poor?

+1.

Was it because he was committed to Colorado for so long?

Cal and Washington tried to get him to OV but he said he wanted to play in the SEC.

Really surprised he did not pick Ole Miss

Rather than doing the hard work again... I would just challenge you to look at what Rivals thought of the TE's who were taken in the top 10 of the NFL draft last year and are projected to be top 10 this year.

"Stars" are never the 'be all, end all'... and particularly not with the TE position. In fact, Rivals is pretty clueless. IIRC, two guys who were 4/5* recruits are projected in this year's top ten TE draft prospects... neither were rated as TE's coming out of HS.

Rumor is they beat out UNCO Greenley for this guy’s services.

His stock seems to have stumbled massively due to his senior season. The reason the previous staff cut him loose, and the new staff didn’t bother to recruit him.

I wouldn’t be surprised if his ranking doesn’t drop precipitously.

He was the MVP of the O-D All American Bowl so I doubt he will

That sucks. And the other TE they got committed is #1 JUCO TE according to ESPN. I hope it's that our guys fit our offense better, not that they are recruiting better.

He caught a pass in the end zone and they make him the offensive MVP of the American team (not the whole game). Got it. Even with that honor, I still think he drops.

Much like Colorado--who had a staff full of excellent TE evaluators--dropped him.

And the new coaching staff didn’t pick him up. Freeze passed. Cal passed. Not interested. But whatever. You don’t care, you gotta defend your hero.

And while I’m bashing a recruit who’s obviously been feed a truckload of baloney: Mitch Parsons pledges to Vanderbilt Commodores
"I love it," he said of the south. "I had never been to the south so I kind of judged a book by its cover and wrote them of without giving them a chance. Playing here in front of all these people I’m excited to be able to play and be able to beat teams like Alabama at their house in front of 70,000 people. I’m excited to be able to play in front of big crowds and be able to teams that we gonna start beating here."

With his commitment locked up, Parsons has high expectations for himself and the Vanderbilt program.

"I'm excited," he said. "I plan on winning National Championships here and SEC Championships and a Mackey Award."

Nah, coaches don’t lie to players.

I am a realistic man. I give credit where credit is due. If Bama does well, good job. If UT does well, good job. If Florida does well, good job. If Bama sucks, bad job, etc etc. I dont pump sunshine or **** into something just to pump it.

He is not my "hero" but to see you bash someone with blatant lies will get you called out. Cal and Washington wanted him to OV both this weekend and next and he turned them down. ITS ON RIVALS.

Ole Miss passed on him because they need instant impact TE's and he is redshirt and grow kind of guy. Not what Ole Miss needs.

Also so are you saying that a coach would tell a recruit they are going to lose? Are you serious? I doubt any coach would ever say that. OF COURSE they are going to say they are going to win.

Wow, Nash. Seems like I just read the same exact thing on the Rivals MB.
