'13 SG Detrick Mostella (UT signee 5/7/14)

I don't believe I have, like I've said it reminds me of Butch, if you question him in the least bit you're chastised and labeled a troll.

You had at least 1 very strong statement about the possibility of him being hired, did you not? Honestly, I am not going to dig for it, but you made a strong comment. That is why I have viewed you as not being a fan. Again, I don't think you were being accusatory really, but I do see what these posters are talking about.

First off, we are continuing to try and keep close tabs on this Detrick Mostella situation. As we posted yesterday afternoon, from what we're hearing, this is one to keep a very close eye on. If everything works out on the academic side of things (and there's some optimism there), there may be some good news on that front for Tennessee in the next few days. Again, this is probably one to watch closely.

Still looking forward to hearing how this all played out, let me be clear, that's not saying Tyndall is paying the guy.

People will rip me for this, but it isn't just about wins and losses when running a program. At least it shouldn't be. We will have a strong recruiting class. He's bringing in all the players that other big time programs wouldn't touch. Punter will be with his 4th team in 5 years. Mostella has serious academic issues. So does Punter. McKnight has drug and academic problems. Ronnie Johnson was asked to transfer. In the short term you'll make the NIT. It worked for Tyndall at Morehead State and Southern Miss. Would you let your son play for a team of thugs? Everyone of these players has a good chance at further embarrassing the University. Also can you beat Florida and Kentucky like this? A team of jucos and rejects?

I think I said I would puke if Tyndall is hired, that might've been what you saw lol. Not gonna deny it, I definitely said that. It was early in the search when we hoped for guys like Marshall and Howland and the fact we had to resort again to the mid major guy pissed me off.

I went on a couple days later to say that after learning a lot about the guy I would ease up and could get behind him if he ultimately ends up benign hired.

Casting a wide net there, aren't you? And you're right, you will be ripped for this. I'll leave you to the wolves.

That's the one. Appreciate the honesty. That is why I thought you had something against him. Thanks.:hi:

I get what you're saying, but at the end of the day it is just about wins and losses. Seemed every year or offseason we had multiple issues when Pearl was here, but nobody really cared because the guy was winning at a rate never before seen.

If you lose then those issues get magnified, if you win it's the complete opposite.

Not a problem. I was also really high on Michael White if we were gonna go the mid major route, but we definitely could've done worse than Tyndall.

When trolling, the objective is to be not so obvious that everyone knows it. You're either bad at trolling or plain stupid. I'd prefer the former of the two if I was being labeled.

When you question and compare him to the previous coach, plenty of examples, then fans get upset and take your posts wrong.

Positive posts regarding CDT by other fans are usually greeted by you first with an anti sentiment and a Pro Martin counter.

You are one of the most informed posters on this board when it comes to inside knowledge and scooping, but the other is emotional and getting old.

Its almost like a control thing and others opinion really do not matter.

People will rip you for it because it's mostly b.s. and all you do is sling b.s all over the place with each post. Mostella was committed to Pitt and offered by a ton of big time schools. Missouri wanted Punter quite badly and he's fully qualified.

Martin isn't coming back. I have no idea if you are even an actual Vols fan, but going by your post history, it would appear unlikely.

I think Pearl and Auburn are scheduled to come to Knoxville for a game this coming season. I hope we got a whipping waiting for him. If all these players get on board I think we will.

Duh people should rip you for this. Inaccurate, bias, and emotional almost to the tune of a child or a troll.
