Booker is hardly an unknown commodity. He posted 20 touchdown catches as a junior and finished this past season with 82 catches for 1,549 yards and 18 touchdowns along with 410 rushing yards and eight more scores in Byrnes heralded offense.
But it has been widely accepted that he would not meet NCAA qualifying standards, thus snuffing his appeal.
B.J. Beecher at Concord
A promising test score received last month, though, has given rise to hope that Booker can qualify if he puts in the work. Even if not, he could be a compelling placement for the 14 class if the prep school route materializes. He has thickness and subtle speed for a receiver in his height range.
A number of college staffs have put themselves on the Byrnes call list should Booker continue showing academic progression.
