'13 SC RB Jabo Lee (UT signee)

With having so much room I don't understand not taking two RB's. Unless Ford being the 1 RB this class is what will get him to sign with UT over Auburn.

I don't understand it either but its the only explaination I can think of for why we didn't have another RB on campus last weekend.

That's what I am sitting here wondering. Why would 1 stop us from taking the other unless the staff told Ford he could be the only 1. IF they told him he could be, as a coach I would need an answer now not on NSD. With the article already posted saying why Lee flipped, if he is left in the cold, that would suck for the kid. ECU may not appreciate it either.

Could be a solid pick up. Va Tech offered and they are uusually spot on with their choice in RB. Plus I noticed in the OP this kid runs a 4.34 can't coach speed!

I agree, these committed but the kid doesn't have a commitable offer situations are embarrassing for everyone. I really hope that's not the case and he's a Vol very soon.

yeah this could be trouble if Ford says no then Lee, with his feelings hurt for being asked to wait, signs with someone else..that is the danger of social media..before fans didn't know what went on behind the scenes

I thought the story was in the regular media not the social media. Corn Elder is the key here. If he would just go on and commit to Auburn all would become clear.:eek:hmy:

This kid although good is not SEC running back material.. Im thinking we took this kid because were thinking Ford is going to auburn.

You are really off on this one. Kid is as good a prospect as Zac Stacey was coming out of high school. He doesn't have the ACT score yet is the only reason schools backed off.

I'm sure that's what it was..and I think that has been going on for a long time. Think about all the RBs we have looked at all the way back to Derrick Henry..we must have had a chain letter for all of the backs that were offered a scholy. It would have filled up the entire class probably.

So maybe his offer was based on him getting a qualifying ACT score sometime after NSD? That could possibly explain it. He knows he has work to do, but wanted to have his time to announce(via the article). ???Maybe??

:dunno:

I can't see that being correct. We are well under the limit so nothing would be gained by waiting.

Well, what if we end up getting Tyren Jones and Johnathan Ford? I mean, that possibility is out there. If that's the case, then Jabo can take a hike.

The question of a commitable offer means one of 2 things: either he's unlikely to qualify, or the staff is set on silent RB commitments. I'm willing to bet it's the latter.
