'13 SC RB Jabo Lee (UT signee)

Kid looks average not great. Looks like another tom smith, Q watson, type back etc. Looks like a filler back to me because we did get ANYBODY ELSE

One thing to keep in mind is that he doesn't have to sign Wednesday. If he is seriously thinking about coming to UT, he can hold off on signing and take an OV here next weekend. That way he can get more comfortable with the staff.

Not alot of teams are going to be willing to allow a commit to visit beyond NSD. Very good chance if Lee tried that ECU would just pull the offer. I know if I were a coach, I would go to my back up plan this late rather than take my chance on the kid sticking with his commitment a week PAST NSD.

It's more common than you think, and I don't think ECU would pull his offer. I think that would be dumb on their part. What if he visits here and doesn't mesh well with the staff?

That's the point. ECU has to protect their class. If Lee knew he did not have an offer from ECU if he visited UT after NSD, it's very possible he would not visit. He might would risk it, alot of recruits would not.

Quick question here---if the film is sped up to make him look faster, wouldn't it also make everyone in the film look faster? Let that sink in before you answer :lolabove::lolabove:

yes...exactly...so therefore he is out running fast guys instead of slow ones...think before you answer.

honestly...i'm sort of surprised you didn't think this through more...

FWIW, the quality of SC hsfb is on par with anyone. They place a disproportinate number of players in D1 programs compared to the population.

Just another UT hat on the table. If he is not coming to visit and meet the new coaches, he's sticking with EC. RB recruiting looks to be an absolute failure this year. LOL@Pass on a 4-star Turman in hopes of "the big fish". Let's hope this coaching staff thinks it through a little better "next year".

It does not always works, but you have to aim high anyway.

When have you heard this? He'll say Power Spread, to emphasize that it won't be finesse.

His introduction speech . He said its not a spread but pro style with a physical run game.He made it known it wasnt a spread or anything finesse.

The offense has the effect of an I formation tailback without having to use a FB. They can run all types of counters, traps, misdirection, stretch and even counter treys - while using an H-back or a couple of TE's. Fun to watch compared to the crappy running game schemes we have seen around here for awhile. End zone seats will get the best view of the blocking schemes. One cut and go between the tackles for the most part.

It took Chaney a couple of seasons with Dools before he figured out he wasn't supposed to line the RB up 9 yards behind the ball except in the pistol. No issues with it in this offense.

In a recent interview, the interviewer called it a "power spread". He laughed and said he liked it, that he was going to steal that term and start using it.

It will be a spread offense-- just not a finesse offense.:good!:

I kind of like this guy after watching some of his footage. That may be because he could potentially end up as this classes one and only back.. but it'll be alright. Who knows? If he decides to commit to us, it's possible he could be great. He's got great balance and lateral speed.. I feel like Neal and Lane will have it covered next year, and hopefully, we'll get a stud recruit next year.

Didnt hear that, just remember his introduction speech and was asked about the offense and said it definitely wasnt a spread and he told Green that as well. Said it was a power run game and not finesse.
