Does he even have an offer from Ohio St? Rivals doesn't show one and he is already naming them the leader.

The Buckeyes have been named in the past by Hill as a favorite because of his memories watching them play on TV. He plans to travel to Columbus in June to check the program out, along with Alabama, Florida, and Michigan.

"They've always been my favorite school when I was a kid," he said of the Buckeyes. "Hopefully I still like them after the visit."

The Upstate product said that he could not name four or five favorites at this time, but another program he talked about by name was Tennessee. He visited Knoxville earlier this year.

"I loved it up there. Coach (John) Palermo, my position coach, I've got a strong connection with him. Coach (Jay) Graham is my recruiting coach and I have a strong connection with him too."

He lives in a heavy Clemson area (and his school has been a Clemson pipeline) so ultimately I'd give a slight edge to Clem, but some factors also working in SC's favor and the coaches certainly feel good about the chances with Hill.

It's interesting that he keeps playing up Ohio St in interviews yet no one really expects them to be a big factor.

SC and Clemson fans both say he is theirs

One of my best friends is SC fan(poor choice in friends I know) says he's almost a lock...but he thinks they always get who they really want. But may very well end up there.

The whispers about Hill are that the Vols, South Carolina and Ohio State make up his top group so far, although no one is quite sure because of how quiet he is.

He doesn't let the reporters know that much but the rumors are out there that he wants to stay closer to home. FWIW.

I can respect a kid's wishes (and his family's) to stay close to home, but I really wish some of these families could understand that East Tennessee is not on the other side of the planet, or the country for that matter. It's about a 3 to 7 hour drive, depending upon where you are in Virginia, the Carolinas, and Georgia.
