'13 SC DL Jaylen Miller (UT signee)

Not a lot of chatter with any of our prospects right now. I was hoping someone would pull the trigger by now to get this party started. We really do need guys like Miller in this class.

Then it's as close to a done deal as possible IMO.

Can't believe I am about to post this but maybe these kids are all waiting til NSD to make a splash.

I like the way you think...

I'm starting to think the same thing. Butch has massive cojones if that's the plan.

I read this on here alot. I gotta say I dont understand the point of waiting til signing day. I would rather big recruits go ahead and commit , and maybe that would sway some other recruits our way

That's why I was hesitant to make that post. It certainly is a very bold approach and one that I can't advocate but I damn sure hope we pull it off!

I would love the boom come NSD if CBJ and staff can pull that off. Only thing I hope is they have the class just about full if they are doing it. Sooner the Bells, Lawsons, and Norths commit, the easier it is for other top kids to commit IMO.

This is my first time following recruiting closely, but if they're committed to the coach is it still risky if the coach and player don't tell the media?

Seems like it would be difficult to keep secret if you're telling other kids, but I don't see the risk in this "private" commitment deal.

If Jones is confident enough to do it I'm all in. I think it will be worth it on NSD to hear over and over again how we are grabbing recruits up. I have watched over the last few years envious of those teams that pull a rabbit out of the hat on signing day. Teams like that become the story that day because we already know how most of the cards will fall.

Not near as much risk now as opposed to a few weeks ago. When kids are continuing visits that's a worry for certain.

If Bell, Miller, Lawson, Bellamy, Levenberry, North, and Ford each committed to us on NSD, Ole Miss and UT would have to be the talk of the year in terms of surprise [monster] classes.
