I agree. There may also be one in the group you can move to the secondary if needed. Then you go light on the position the next year while loading up on another position of need.

Don't forget Harris.....not to mention we have Croom and Bowles that will just be Freshman this year. We are suddenly in pretty good shape at receiver. We also have Jacob Carter (he good) who is probably the most polished receiver we have at this point.

So theoretically if we land Boyd, that's like seven 4* receivers on the roster next year, plus Dallas, Blanc, and Carter? Holy crap

With the exception of Meachem, I think these guys are a higher caliber than those you mentioned. Smith and Hannon didn't do a lot here. Part of the reason is that Harris and North are both big WR's. Add Croom to that mix....dang. That's a lot of size for a defense to handle. Some munchkin db is going to get owned.

I also thought Vincent Dallas looked good last year.

With Boyd, it's a wait and see game as in they will wait and see if he gets on the plane Friday for his official visit. Zach Azzanni was with Boyd and his family all day Thursday in an attempt to secure the official visit. People in and around Boyd believe he'll make the trip, but after last week, it's far from a guarantee.

We might be looking at Boyd as a DB or S. I think he wants to play WR and thats why he wants to go to WVU because they want him at WR with Gibson. He wants out of Pitt but has everyone telling him he has to go there. Its not just his mom but his friends and coaches are too. We have a lot of good WRs coming in already but Boyd has made a lot of jumps in the rankings after going to these camps. He played in a weak class in PA and won 4 state championships but with the rank going up after the camps shows his numbered weren't so high just because of the competition. He could be a back up plan incase Bell doesn't choose to play here. Plus the kid needs to get away from his Mom.

If we get Boyd, he will be a WR for sure. Nobody in their right mind would waste a talent like Boyd on defense.

I read somewhere a couple of days ago it would be him and a high school coach that has been helping him through the recruiting process.
