The Inside Tennessee article said that he's coming in this December. I thought he wasn't coming in till 2013?

Smith said he intends to enroll at Tennessee "no later than December," adding: "I plan to be there at mid-semester."

If so, he'll be eligible to participate in spring practice.

Anyone know for sure? I'm confused about his situation aswell. It seems like the story changes every time I read something on him.

If you go back on this thread you will find the answer and you shouldn't have to look too far (not being a jerk, that's a serious response). I think this article was published a couple weeks ago.

Basically, his situation isn't clear. The article made it sound like he could be here in January 2012, but I think they meant January 2013. Not sure what's up. He's still a Vol, which is the most important thing at this point.

I was hoping Corey would redshirt his first year of Juco and play his second year of Juco so that he would have 3 years to play 3 when he gets here.

He's been playing this year though, so it's looking like he'll have 3 to play 2 when he gets here.

Here's the stat sheet for Grand Rapids Community College so far this year:

I would imagine he would have to receive his Associates degree before enrolling. That's IIRC, could be wrong. I would guess it would be possible for him to take enough courses through the semester and in the summer to get there quicker. I guess it will depend on his course load.

He could still RS next season, that's what Lanier did.

Corey will be part of the 2013 class, not the 2014 class. He is supposed to be in the 2012 class, but he went the JUCO route. This is his first year in JUCO, next year is his second year and he is planning on arriving in January 2013.

Was suppose to be in attendance for Michigan States win over Wisconsin Saturday night.

"I've been talking to Coach Narduzzi a lot since I've been up here," he said. "They invited me to the game and I thought it was a great opportunity."

Smith says this is his first visit of the season, but it won't be his last.

"I'm going to try to catch a West Virginia game and hopefully a Tennessee game."

I know that this guy decomitted but everyone was saying that is just because he is going to JUCO... Does he still want to be a vol? I know everyone is saying we need one more talented WR.
