Mitch Trubisky - Yahoo! Sports

Stud QB coming out of Ohio in 2013. Getting some good looks from some Big10 teams already.

I live in Mentor, will be interesting to see how he develops. Same high school as 4 star Michigan commit Tom Strobel.

I think they are going to have a dynamic offense this year, and the offers will be rolling in for this kid during/after this season.

Mentor D wil be great again this year! Im looking forward to watching their offense though. I have been informed that they are going to throw the ball around 50 times a game which should be fun to watch. Cant wait to see how much better Mitch is this year.

I would say they have 3 big time games this season.

Youngstown Ursuline - 4 in a row 07-10 state champs d5
St Ignatius - Always good - Have Brian Hoyers brother and a great transfer who will fight for starting QB
Solon - Always good, pounds the ball, very physical team. Conf. Foe.

Who is the best team they will play against in the regular season?

Ursuline, Iggy, Solon, and Strongsville are always good. Euclid is pretty talented as well. Assuming they make the playoffs, they will be playing top notch teams. Still only the 2nd best team in their city tho:)

What ever happened to ole Mark Petruzello?

Originally went to OU then ended up transferring to John Carroll. Dude was one of the craziest MFers I've ever met. His little bro was a 2-3 year starter at WR at Mount Union as well

Mentors offense is putting up stupid numbers. I hear they go 5 wide almost every play and then Mitch just let's it fly. They have a good chance of going to state

Their offense is ridiculous. They run a strict no huddle 5 wide set. They run the ball maybe 5-10 times a game and they just constantly air it out.

The team has a great chance of going to state if they can get past Solon.

What region are they in? Are they not in St Ed's region? I thought they were. It's hard for me not to view St Ed's as the favorites to win state again this year.

Yes, Region 1. Mentor is having a tough time stopping the run surprisingly so Eds would be a big test for that. Mentor, Eds, and Solon are probably the top 3 teams in the region in no particular order. Eds didn't look that impressive in the opener against 'Ville though, even though they didn't have Kalis.

Mitch has had some INT problems over the first few games, but that might be expected with how much they throw the ball

Good stuff. Thanks. Things are wide open down here in Region 4.

I thought Colerain was going to be the team to beat but they lost their best player junior RB Chris Davis two weeks ago for the season. He would have been an elite recruit next year. Best player in this region IMO, including Jalin Marshall. Without him they defintiely come back down to the middle of the pack as was evidenced by St X beating them last week 17-14.

Right now I'd probably lean towards Moeller being the favorites in Region 4, but they always seem to have issues when the playoffs come around. But they have been the most dominate team so far down here.

Gotcha thanks.

Int are going to happen when you throw the ball 40-50 times a game for sure. I think the only thing that can hurt them is how fast paced their offense is they arent on the field very long whether its a TD or INT, their defense seems to always be on the field. Teams have run all over them so far. Defense was supposed to be their strongest asset this year too.

With studs like Strobel and Laseak I figured their D would have been their strength as well. One thing that can definitely hurt them is the weather. Some bad Cleveland weather makes completing passes that much more difficult.
