As we mentioned in the War Room, Tennessee was hosting a highly thought of long-snapper, Bradley Spelman, of Hilliard, Ohio, and I just got off the phone with him and he committed to be a preferred walk-on at Tennessee. He had the same opportunities at Penn State, Cincinnati and a few other schools but felt like this was his best opportunity.

He really likes Tennessee's facilities and the coaches have been pursuing him for a long time now. Also, he was very impressed with Tennessee's history of putting specialists in the NFL. He hinted at cheering for the Ravens on Sunday because of Morgan Cox, former Vol and current long-snapper for the Ravens.

The University of Tennessee offered the 6'2, 210-lb Spelman a walk-on spot this Winter.
"I knew the coaches from Cincinnati when I went down to camp in the summer and that's how our relationship started," he explained.
Ultimately, that relationship with Butch Jones and his staff was important, but there were also many other attractive parts of the school which lead him to the decision.
"With the combination of the academics, coaches, facilities and fan base, it is just a once in a lifetime opportunity."
Now that the choice is made, Spelman can look forward to achieving his goal of earning a starting spot and a scholarship in the process.
"The best person plays and that's how it was addressed. The best man who wins the job plays and for me, it would be a scholarship."
