"The recruiting process is about to come to an end for Jaleel Hytchye, as the Cincinnati (Oh.) La Salle cornerback will announce his college decision on Saturday night.
"It's been a long process," Hytchye told Panther-Lair.com Wednesday. "January 17th was when I was going to announce; that was the date that I got my first offer, so that date was special to me. But I wanted to speed it up a little bit for a couple of reasons.
"At Kentucky, it's [head coach Mark Stoops] and the staff he's bringing in and the changes he's bringing. I'm really excited about that and I respect his background as a coach. Plus, it's not too far from home and they play in the SEC. That's something big, that I could be part of building a tradition there.
"At Tennessee, they already have a tradition, and I believe they have the players to make something special happen. They're potentially a national champion under the right coaching staff, and I met [head coach Butch Jones] and his staff when they were at Cincinnati. I wasn't too into Cincinnati, but now that he's at Tennessee, I'm really interested and I know they have great facilities.
"And at Pitt I really like [head coach Paul Chryst]. He's honest, down to earth, and a real people person, a real family-type person. He's really great guy and they have great coaching staff. I think there are some special things they're doing."
"I haven't visited Tennessee, but I did some research on them and I think I know all I need to know. I can visit after I commit if that's the school I pick.""
