2013 Marcus Ball - Westerville South - Jr ...
Scout.com: Ball Making His Mark

Class of 2013

"For his Westerville-South High School team, the junior played quarterback and threw for 1300 yards and 16 touchdowns while running for 500 yards and 2 TDs. He also played defense and had 7 interceptions taking one all the way back for a touchdown. His versatility has most schools recruiting him as purely an athlete."

If I'm not mistaken this kid officialed to us sometime through the season so he may definitely be back in play withe Azzani hire.. Can anyone refresh my memory.. Did he visit UT??

I like his film and think he could put on some weight and play OLB.. These type athletes are the guys that Chief was fond of in terms of turning them into LB's.. SPEED from sideline to sideline..

That is ridiculous. he needs to be here to recruit. Waiting until the first week of January is ridiculous

I think it's more important that a WR was at least named, and not so much he be in Knoxville right now. At least WR recruits will know exactly who their coach is. They can see his resume and background. The fact they can watch their future position coach coaching in one of the biggest bowl games there is makes it a bonus IMO.

I have been pretty negative about Azzanni but it makes me think more of him to hear he is coaching the rose bowl. It shows commitment to his kids and loyalty. Hats off to him for doing that. The dead period starting means he can't do a great deal in Knoxville anyway so it doesn't hurt us much IMO.
