Is his name pronounced Luh-ray ( I assume so) ... Or Larry?

Not that it matters really.

How many highlight films have you seen where there aren't missed tackles?

I could envision a slot receiver role in his future IMO...that screen at about the 3:35 mark of the video is exactly why I feel that way. Great cut and acceleration.

I like the way this guy runs, runs hard thru the hole and cuts hard when he has to. His film is really impressive. I guess the biggest question on him is his competition he plays against. May fit a spread offense better but probably could still line up in a pro stlye and play pretty well. All the backs we're in on this year is impressive.

At 6' 2" 190 it seems like he could put on some weight. Is he a Henry like back? bruiser or slasher?

Could be both. At a recent meet he won the 200 (21.62 trails and 21.8 final) and finished second in the 100 (10.82 trails and 10.86 semis) to qualify for the state championship meet. Smith, Vogt come up winners at CHSAA Intersectional track and field championships - SILive.com

He's got some big thighs. Thats some good speed to. Add about 15 to 20 lbs and he will be a hoss.

yeah for real, im sure if he were to focus more on football and bulk up he would be a beast. pretty darn fast for a guy whos almost 200 pounds. be nice to have two guys like him and bourque on the team ( tall athletes with tons of raw talent and speed) i would be very happy with smith and one of the elite guys were in on .... green, henry, kamara or dye

It should be missed tackles in the tape. If he's not breaking tackles or making people miss then he shouldn't get offered.

i agree with ya to a point, but the more i watch the film the more it looks like hes juking out a bunch of AWB's (average white boys) which by the way is kind of shocking, not being racist but there was an alarming amount of white kids on that film for it to be new york. anyway i digress, you cant judge him for not having stellar competition to go against and it looks like hes doing the only thing he can, dominate whats in front of him. hope we get him if we dont get two of the other top guys, would be a nice complement to green :)

he plays in the catholic High school league.

Private schools which are, for the most part, predominantly white.

I played in that League. they send a great deal of kids to play DII and DIII and a few to play DI level ball.
