"I had some big kickoffs. I had, I think, one or two kickoffs 80-yards plus. The majority were upper 70s," Wogan said. "My morning there was not too great, but in the afternoon I was kicking the crap out of it. I had like a 66-yard punt. Don't remember the hang-time on that. I did pretty good. I don't remember all the individual stats about it.

"(Dooley) came out and first took me to do field goals. He liked that so he had me go punt. Then he had me kick off for a long time. I was kicking off very well. They said they want to stay in contact and so I don't know exactly what they're going to do. They said they're not sure about how many scholarships they're going to have."

"I thought it was a beautiful campus. To be honest, I did not expect it to be that nice. I really didn't, but it was great," Wogan said. "I saw where they're building the new facility. It's ridiculous. Coach Dooley is awesome, the staff was great. The trainer up there, she was amazing. Kris Ann Hawkins (from recruiting), she's awesome. I thought it was great. Campus, stadium, facilities. It was all amazing. The people there are good. It was a very good experience."

He's hearing from numerous SEC and ACC programs plus owns an offer from Pac-12 power Oregon. He also drew the attention last week of first-year Ohio State coach Urban Meyer, who like Dooley spent some individual time with Wogan.

IMHO if Bullock is worth a scholly then this guy def is too. We cannot afford to miss fg's and give up field position on punts every game.

I am all for taking this kid. If we had someone remotely better than Palardy, we might win the close games (due to special teams play).

I know scholarships are tight in cfb these days but I think you take a kicker every year, just like a QB. Maybe skip a year of taking a kicker if you have a standout all american or something but the Vols clearly don't have that.

This is one of our greatest needs. The guy was very impressed with TN.
A good kicker will/can win some ballgames. I would offer him fast before another big program does.

We need a kicker in the worst way. What are we going to do for this year?

We have an actual kicking coach this year, so I expect, like RB, our production will be better. It would still be nice to have an elite kicker though. I've lost years of my life from anxiety over 30yd FGs that should be automatic.

Sign em up.... Maybe he helps Special Teams out....

You better watch it!!!!!!!!! The star gazers will put a contract on you.:machgun:

I agree with you. Let's get some help here. There are always one or two games a year where a kicker makes the difference in a win or loss.

Automatic field goals? I'd be thankful for a kicker who didn't inflame my ulcer on every PAT.

I spoke with Chris Sailer earlier this morning. Sailer of the nationally +(internationally) recognized kicking camps, events, personal instruction, etc. He will be holding his national kicking event early next year and expects Matt Wogan to be the #1 kicker/place kicker in the country at that time. He ranks Matt in the top 10-15 nationally in terms of punting. We have the pleasure watching Matt blast kickoffs beyond the endzone on a regular basis. Great kid, hard worker, never satisfied- always looking to get better. Can't ask for anything more than that.

Gentlemen, we have two scholarship kickers, ATM, and a supposedly great homegrown kicker locked in for next year. There is no way palardy or darr loses their scholarships. I would be shocked to see us take a kicker this year

If we do take a kicker this is our guy IMO. We do need another punter, darr is terrible, maybe that would help resting palardy's leg too so he didn't have to do everything as far as kicking goes
