Have class with Vickers. Very well put together guy for sure, however I'm not seeing 270. Probably 255-260 range. I think he ends up at DE.

Maybe holding a lot of weight in his lower body. I'm that way personally. I'm around 197-200lbs and my lower body carries a lot of my weight. I bet Vickers is the same way. If the coaches think he's strong enough to play inside then his lower body is probably good size.

I'm around 197-200lbs right now with a 27 inch waist. I've been close to the same size for about 9-10 years.

No pecs, bi-tri's, lats or traps. IMO, JMO, IYAM. :)

Height?

Me, I'm 6'1 220 w/ a 33-34 waist. That 1" flex depends on gm day cookouts and the wife's cookin' :p

Nah, just messin' w/ BB to take a more balanced approach in his wo's, sounds like he's all legs.

Nah I do alright overall. I stay pretty active. Lol but I'm hoping this kid continues to add "good" weight. Corey Miller added "bad" weight and I think it damn near killed his career.

FWIW, Vickers registered 32 total tackles, 12 TFL, and 7.5 sacks in 12 games last year; I'm not sure if he played in Havelock's other 4 games or not. He apparently had only 3 tackles his junior year. Vickers was probably Havelock's 3rd-best DL last year behind ECU signee Malcolm Ashley (73 tackles, 23.5 TFL, 8.5 sacks) and Harry Caldwell (79 tackles, 13 TFL, 7 sacks).

“I’ve put on 20 pounds of muscle since the season ended, just by continuing to work in the weight room. I’m working on getting just a bit stronger and becoming more flexible before college,” Vickers said.
FOOTBALL: Beasts of the East - Local - Sun Journal

Has put on 28 lbs since he's been on campus per Butch. Redshirting this year

Not to bump an old thread for no reason, but if he was 240 in High School, then added 20 pounds, then added another 28 pounds, I’d say that qualifies as DT to me.

The Kendal Vickers Bio still lists him at 240. Just another jigsaw piece to try and figure out this years class.

I think most of our D, including Miller, was told to add weight to play the 3-4. Remember, Lawson had to put them all in boot camp this offseason to get them back down to 4-3 shape.

Havelock is a school UT needs to keep making connections with. One of the most talented teams in the state.
