Duffy says UNC is currently recruiting him the hardest, but admits he would like to hear from some of the bigger SEC schools. Duffy racked up over 1,500 all-purpose yards and over 20 TDs at RB and recorded 5 INTs as a DB. He was an All-State selection last year. He stated he would like to play on the offensive side of the ball in college.

he looks pretty good.... i think he should get a junior day invite...lol! I'm pretty sure jay graham can pull him away from NC...

Chris Duffy is an electrifying player on the football field. Fast with great feet. His team lost in NC State Championship game but would not have gotten there without a great play from him the week before. After giving up the go ahead touchdown, Chris Duffy took the ensuing kickoff and navigated through some decent coverage and ripped down the sideline for the TD that put his team up for good. UNC is a basketball school and if Butch Davis could not turn that around, Larry Fedora will not either. I think he'll be a smarter runner this year and continue to put up some impressive numbers. Duffy is originally from Kingsport, Tn. but moved to N.C. while he was in elementary school.

Though he hasn't been on many trips recently, Duffy is looking at heading down to Tennessee on March 31st.

"I know I'm going down there for spring practice. They really like me as a defensive back, so I want to go and see what it's like.

"I'm looking to see how the coaching staff is, how my teammates are and the environment I'll be in for four years. I want to see how things are run."

"I like Tennessee a lot, I like South Carolina, North Carolina, Clemson and Virginia Tech," he said. "I like that those schools go out and compete and win ball games. I like what I see from them."

From March 20th Scout article:

“I talked to Coach (Sam) Pittman from Tennessee and he said they were going to offer me to play defensive back,” he said. “I am also hearing from Duke, Clemson, Connecticut, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina State, and a little bit from Alabama.”

"I am from Kingsport, Tennessee and Tennessee is on top right now. My other top schools are North Carolina, Clemson, and South Carolina,” he said.

He rushed for over 1,000 yards and 18 touchdowns, while also racking up nearly 300 yards receiving and three touchdown receptions. Duffy also had five interceptions and returned a kickoff for a score. He bench presses 260 pounds, squats 395, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds.

"When I went to Tennessee, it was really nice," he said. "The atmosphere and coaching staff were good. I met some of the trainers there and had a good time. I plan to return with my brothers and family to see how they like it.

Duffy noted favorites as well.

"I like Tennessee a lot," he said. "That is one of my top schools. I've liked them since growing up.

Duffy plans to camp at Tennessee, South Carolina and North Carolina this summer. The versatile prospect notes he is hoping to hear more from the two Carolina schools.

"I want to get a bit more from both of them," he said. "South Carolina wins games and they know how to win. They are an hour from my house and I've got a close friend there. I went to a game against Alabama and it's nice there. It's Steve Spurrier.

"North Carolina is really nice and I toured the weight room and liked that. They want me to play slot and that is what I really want to play in college."

I certainly know what times we are in, but it definitely hurts to read "South Carolina wins games and they know how to win."

The type of kid Fedora gets. Doesn't help that we are looking at him on defense when he wants to play offense.

Per 247 article, Duffy enjoyed the Spring Game. He really likes Tennessee & grew up a big fan. Tennessee has NOT offered, they want him to come to camp & earn one. He will also go to USCjrs camp.
