I think he was down on our board too.
Don't get me wrong he probably has talent to play in the SEC, LSU has a few guys ahead of him in state and there are guys out of state higher on the board, and LSU is doing ok in the DB area depending on how many early draftees they have.
He and his dad have their panties in a twist because LSU won't give him an offer before he makes an appearance at camp. There seems to be one of these every year.
If you are undersized, you have to go to every camp and earn your spot... Mathieu fought and clawed his way to a scholarship.
We're in the thick of it for Alexander, Ramsey, and Fuller. Plus we lead for the Gray kid out of Memphis. CB isn't a huge huge need in this class after taking T.Thomas, Bonner, and Gray last class. All we really need is to pull 2/4 of the above names. And add a safety next to K.Miles. We're not LSU but we're not terrible on the backend athletically like we were a couple years back.
Does TN have shot at VERNON HARGREAVES? I really like that guy.
The only way you can see if a guy can play CB is if you just put him out there and see how he fights in practice, and then give him a shot in a game. Stars don't mean a freaking thing out there by yourself.
Not for real he's just visiting. We're back in it for Mackensie Alexander. Have you watched his tape? If you like Honey Badger you'll love that kid. Absolute bad ass on the edge. Best CB prospect this year to me.
Watching the video now, never really saw it before. Very aggressive, I love his first step... very quick forward on the run and actually beats the WRs block on run plays.
Yeah, I like that guy. :good!:

- Barton SimmonsWherever he goes, Ellis plays with a chip on his shoulder and Memphis was no different. Size and long speed are the knock on Ellis but when you look at short quickness, instincts, ball skills and general playmaking ability there arenÂ’t many better than Ellis nationally.
Following a performance on Friday that earned him an invite to NikeÂ’s prestigious invite-only event The Opening, Ellis listed Texas A&M and Tennessee as the two schools he likes the most
