kind of insulting to UT alums to act like that's not possible in Knoxville. Successful people can get it done from anywhere but that's not really the case when you're talking about football

Personally I wouldnt care if one person showed up in the stands to be honest with you. But if I had a kid that had a shot to get into Vandy for the academics that is exactly where he would land unless he was good enough to go to the IVY league or Duke.

Better yet, when Hatcher commits to us (possibly this weekend or next week) and signs with us on NSD, how about you agree to remove yourself from this list and never come back. Hatcher is not going to Vandy. You are saying that academics is so important to these guys...good for them. It should be. Guess what? You know why Hatcher will be a Vol? Not only because of our football program, but because of what we offer ACADEMICALLY for him. He wants to be a veterinarian, and we have a great veterinary program. Vandy does not! You can leave this list when he signs with us. Thank you.

You are in for it now, haven't you read this guys previous posts. He is a recruiting guru. In case you don't want to waist your time reading his posts, I'll summarize for you, UT is screwing up big time. Vandy is getting all the good players from Trinity in a package deal. LOL at this guy.

Yeah, I know. I have read his posts. I'll just ignore him, if he gets even more outrageous. LOL! Was hoping that he would agree to leave, when Hatcher commits to us.

Agreed. And agree.
Any kid at any school anywhere in the country, private or public, who demonstrates the level of athletic ability to get noticed and be aligned into the conversation of "possible future in sports" as a professional are going to go to the schools that can give them the best chance to get to that respective pro league.
Any kid who demonstrates that high level of sports ability will have the likelihood of greater than 98% of going to programs other than those of the military academies and ivy league schools.
You could count on both hands over the last 40 years how many high profile high school athletes in any of the major sports have gone to schools other than those of marginal, semi-marginal, and powerhouse programs in the NCAA other than the academies and ivy leagues.
I can guarantee that any kid coming out of Tennessee whether in Memphis, Nashville, or Knoxville, who is noticed on a national or regional stage for their athletic prowess will not be going to any military or ivy league school.

Vandy fan? Look up 40299. Yeah I am a Vandy fan lol.....I have watched UK suck for years. Please back off the closet Vandy fan....You guys are insane and most likely the reason these kids are flocking to Vandy. I am simply telling you whats going on in Louisville and what the other kids are tweeting....do your own homework. If this site only had PM's I could give you the real deal but I will only talk about the kids I know about. The other parents can speak for their own kids from different states. You cannot understand that Vandy is rebuilding and that is trying very hard to land these kids. Call what you want. I dont give a crap....If Hatcher shows up let me know...lol

So, you are the parent of one of the kids going to Vandy? Thanks for sharing that with us. Why don't you just come out and tell us who your son is? Hatcher? Ryan White? Travis Wright? You very well might be right about all of this...who knows. Kids talk about playing together all the time. Tray Matthews, Reuben Foster, Alvin Kamara, Derrick Henry, etc. have all been "talking" about playing together, yet one is committed to Georgia, one to Bama, another looks to be headed to Bama, and the other one we aren't sure about yet. Kids do this all the time; however, many realize that their specific skill set doesn't fit into the system where their friend's skill set fits. So, they go to different schools. I doubt very seriously (and once again I may be very wrong, as someone has said Hatcher may not make it into Knoxville this weekend) that a group of 8-10 friends all go to the same college and all of their skill sets match the system that they are going to. IF they actually do this, then they are not too smart of kids to sell themselves that short on what is actually best for them individually.

Don't be mad that UT, bama, michigan, etc. won't take package deals with 3-5 kids to only get 1-2 players they want. That's why ya'll are heading to vandy... so the players UT, bama, and michigan won't offer can have a chance.

Also, it is not uncommon for MANY teammates to visit one school at the same time. What's it going to cost vandy? A hotdog?

First of all I am not a "Vandy dad" I have two little girls but I promise they are not football stars....but I am very close to the program at Trinity...I no longer have to argue my point. If you read other post you would have saw where Michigan and Vandy have been here in town weekly and watching them. They all have offers. This all started when Petrino screwed up. He had them all wrapped up. NO they will not be at UofL as another poster stated. They got their QB, CB's, DE's and WR's. Louisville is fine. NO way they go to UK. But Vandy is getting some big time kids to come in and simply wish that UT would take notice thats all. Dont believe every single thing you read on the web when it comes to offers. Everyone know this is usually hush hush and a commit is not an offer. Max preps is the worst at claiming offers. The parents and coaches are the source of my info. I have been to camps. I have seen these kids play 7 on 7, so believe what you want. NOPE! I am not a Vandy fan but I do believe in their academics. Being a Vandy fan would be worse than being a UK fan, which I suffered through for years. So there you go. And I live in the freaking state of KY. Why in the world would I be a Vandy fan? LOL. For the last time I love UT in football, UK in hoops. I only jumped in when I saw the reports about Hatcher and Wright and how inaccurate they were. I know who is heading to Vandy today but I can assure you that I am sitting right here in my living room typing to you guys that doubt me. Thats cool...good day
