'13 KY DE Jason Hatcher (USCw Commit)

Not at all. It's just stupid to keep saying a guy that took over a bad situation and in two years has them in the national title hunt is a terrible coach.

Lets see him win w/o Pete Caroll's recruits first, we've all tasted his hot sauce before and look where that amazing recruiting class got us.. He walked into a cupcake division with the soon to be number one overall draft pick playing QB for him.. he is playing on Petey's talent lets see him play and develop his talent then some of you can break out the knee pads.

Wow! No holds barred in recruiting so much that you negative recruit your alma mater. He's already learning well from The Snake! If Tee really did that then he dropped down a notch in my book.

You can't fault Tee for doing this. It's dirty but at the end of the day, USC's paychecks feed his family, not his college history with UT.

I think CLK is dirty but what coach isn't? I would think Dooley would slam a program the same as UT gets slammed to get a recruit. I have no issues with the dirty recruiting pitches, that's up for the kids to decide. My issue is with kids like Hatcher that would rather wait and see if we win some games and then jump on the bandwagon. I understand wanting to play for a winning team but we don't need recruits like this. We need kids that's willing to put the program on their back to make Tennessee a winner. I really hope Dooley tells the kid to kick rocks and go to California if we have a good season and he comes calling.

Aside from QB and OL, that's really not true.

His entire LB corp, he's responsible for. His WR corp (strength of his offense) are most all his recruits. Nickell Roby, the best CB on the roster, is his recruit.

Take Matt Barkley off that team and they don't compete for a national championship. He is that good.

I have a feeling if we end up with a good season and a good bowl game, then the coaching staff will have their choice with whom they allow to be Vols! It may or may not include Hotsauce Hatcher. :)

Tee's probably butthurt he wasn't offered a staff position. That being said, I know loyalty is a fragile word when it comes to recruiting, but to throw the team you won a NC with under the bus is about as low as you can go. Sounds like Tee is fitting in well with the spoiled little punk in Southern California.

not sure your point/general argument in all this....Kiffin will win with the talent they are bringing in. I seriously doubt he will have as big of a recruiting class bust similar to the one class he brought in at UT. He will probably have a few busts here and there, but he's getting the talent and he'll be competing for the west coast title every year.

Okay?

They're still winning the Pac-12.

Cause that's really tough to do, and for the record, if they didn't have MB.. I think Oregon takes the Pac 10. They may take it anyway.

Of course he will win and compete on the West Coast. What are there like two competitive teams? All I am saying is lets see what he does without Barkley.. if he starts playing for a crystal ball.. then y'all can slurp till the cows come home justifiably

Where would Tennessee be without Bray?

A bad situation? The juniors and seniors on that team is Pete Carroll's. Lane had little to no hand in recruiting or coaching those guys up. It's one thing to give Kiffin props for recruiting, coaching Crompton up etc., but I start to wonder about one's loyalty when they start gushing all over this guy. To see that he is not a lowlife that did nothing but knock this university further back than it was is to be someone drinking Eddie O's spiked red bull-aide.

How many juniors and seniors are starting for USC this year? Kiffin brought in a few of those juniors too.

Emotional overreaction. He took a higher paying job where he wanted to be. It is what it is. Is Dooley a lowlife that knocked La Tech further back for taking the Tennessee job?

Kiffin can be a lowlife, but he's still a good coach.

okay...I'll wait and see. I certainly can't predict the future.

Don't know, did Dooley get on the horn in the La Tech offices and tell EEs to stay out of class and join him at UT?

Did Dooley get on National TV and all but admit he was selling himself and not the university?

Still not seeing the good coach, hasn't done enough to earn that recognition. And tell us which juniors you are referring to? His last 2 years of juniors and seniors were all Carroll's unless he was recruiting for USC during his time here and with the Oakland Raiders.

Agree 100%. USC can sell itself to this kid w/o negative recruiting TN. It just burns me up that our ex- QB that won a NC for us is aiding the charge. He has no reason to be upset with TN and DD...unfortunately, we didn't have a spot for him on our offensive staff. We needed a RB coach in the worst way, as well as a special teams/ TE coach. Tee didn't fit the bill for either one of them. I guarantee if we wiuld have had a spot then DD would have seriously considered Tee cuz of what and how he can sell our program even more...like Jay, he lived it. But we didn't have a spot for him...no reason that he should be butt hurt.

sounds to me like people on this board are the ones that are butthurt over this - Tee is taking a job that should be great for his career - be happy for him

if he was doing it at bama then I might be singing a different tune but we dont play USCw - we dont really compete with them - and its a great opportunity for him to further his career

Dooley did attempt to bring a 4 star CB with him from Tech but he couldn't get into school. He also had a QB transfer that was later kicked off for a DUI.

Nickell Robey is one.
